  • 0:55 Black kid is sad cause he can't put his balls in the hole.

  • if you got a proper 2.5" barrel they'd go a hell of a lot further

  • @mpmurphy2014 no doubt!

  • That's pretty cool. Looks like fun for the kids. I made a pressurized air cannon also, but trying to catch a tennis ball out of mine would prove a very bad idea; it'll punch thru a cinder block no problem. Check out the video on my profile.

  • @PressuredAirCannon WOW dude. Sick cannon on your site.

  • @wolveshockey1993 - My air chamber is 4" PVC and about 2.5 feet long. At 100 lbs of pressure it will sail a ball about 100 yards I'm guessing. Not even a tight barrel round the ball either...

  • how far cud i get with about 170 cubic inches and how much psi? using legit pvc 3 inch pipe about 2 feet long for tank

  • Yikes, the safety police are all in a sweat over this. They better not attend a local Little League game (hard balls torpedoed from metal bats) or they will pass out. I think it is great, the kids are having a ball chasing down the tennis balls and all is good.

  • why does the school allow this? cool gun

  • @cambigfoot88 This school allows P.E. and various activities. I do however make the kids stay way back though now. THey are having a "blast"

  • @jtnichol well my school is so strict thats why i asked

  • hahaha fill the tennis balls with pennies see how much the did like it lol jk

  • Take that to the dog park, you'll be their God! Awesome cannon man. the odds of kids getting hurt by that is slim to none, kids are more likely to hurt themselves walking across a flat surface.

  • lol thats a good way to keep the kids busy.

  • I saw some guy at the park with one about the size of yours and he would have it remotely fire so that he could practice catching baseballs.

  • @hackmattr Holy cow!

  • you're using dwv fittings there...

They are safe to MAYBE 60 psi at best, be careful; use pressure rated fittings in the future, noone likes pvc shrapnel.

  • all schedule 40. No dwv there....thank you though

  • nice scatter like a shotgun

  • Alot of people highly doubted they would shoot someone accidentally with what they thought was an "unloaded" gun but it happens all the time. I haven't personally seen a 220psi valve fail at any pressure, but there is a first time for everything. One should make no assumptions when dealing with these things.

  • Are you kidding me? You have a nice cannon but what appears to be a blatant disregard for safety...both yours and the kids'. First of all, you shouldn't pressurize the gun untill after you load it and you DEFINATELY shouldn't allow kids to be dropping the balls in after it has been charged with air! If your sprinkler valve were to release with your or one of the kid's hands over the barrel, it could be really bad news! Just something to consider in the future. Kudos on sharing the fun!

  • good point. i'll bear that in mind in the future. i highly doubt anything will happen. but its just as easy to fill the tank after its loaded.

by the way, have you ever seen a 220psi rated sprinkler valve fail at 80 psi? just curious....

    thanks for the comment

  • thanks!

  • That is so cool.
