Mono mode would mix both channels and run them equally over the L and R jack. That way if you had a mono TV with only one audio input, you could plug either L or R into it and hear all the sounds.
Loved this game. Wish SNES woulda had more released with the killer graphics like Donkey Kong Country 1,2,3 but I guess that around when playstation and N64 starting coming out and they stopped makin games for the snes.
I was 7 when my dad bought me this game for SNES in 1993. The game options were way too sophisticated for a 7 year old to comprehend lol. I would ignore all the dialog boxes and go straight to gameplay. I don't think I ever got passed the 3rd level. I do recall once tinkering around in the menu settings out of curiosity and then got scared because I thought I was going to destroy the game lol.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. When I got this game, I hadn't even learned to read yet so I just flipped through everything, never really understood the game though.
