  • its awesome that he interduced his band

  • Check out the guy on lead guitar, yeah, we had hipsters before we even knew what hipsters were !! the 80's rocked !!

  • the slim white duke!! awesome

  • Bowie is one of my musical heroes, truly one of the greats...but the rest of this band, their clothes are HIDEOUS!!!!!

  • I love this song, he has interchangeable lyrics! Here's to David...one of the best.

  • love it..

  • artist

  • Isn't the blonde singer Ashley Cleveland? He uses a different name for her.

  • дэвид супер.один из самых замечательных исполнителей.дай ему бог.

  • Just had the biggest flashback to watching this live all day long. 15 years old at the time. What a crazy thing it was. My dad walking by and stopping and watching for about 2 hours, something he would never do. Amazing day.

  • The percussionist seemed to have jumped off a gay parade right into the concert.

  • The 11 people who 'disliked' this HAVE NO SOUL

  • Feliz aniversário Bowie!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID! <3

  • Theresa (didn't catch surname if anyone can enlighten me?) is fit as a fiddle !! Lovely looking lady singin' away for the Thin White Duke there !! Yo!! Peace! Rx

  • @Waitingforriki the story goes that bowie forgot their names, so just made some up, hence the suprised look on their faces-hope this helps

  • A great moment during a great day ! Peace! Rx

  • bowie is god

  • @FreneticKey would god be ziggy stardust, aladdin sane, thin white duke, 80s bowie, or jareth? that is what i would like to know.

  • ill be your queen anyday David!!

  • Who knew the soul contained in rock and pop music until this day when music meant everything, especially life and compassion...

  • einer der grössten!

  • fucker can't dance, great singer/song writer but can't move. so much soul but.... lol!

  • Good God that's a lot of people!

  • And it made not a sot of difference to the suffering in the world. It's a great thought but it does NOTHING for anyone.

I knew the face but couldn't get the name.

  • this is the heroe

  • Bowie was great at Live Aid, but no one was having a better time than that percussionist...

  • Other than my wedding day and the birth of my sons the best day of my life, still got the original "I was there" T-shirts (unworn) will never forget the emotion all through the stadium.

  • Uuuh, this Concert was right at my birthday...my 30th!!!! Thank you, gentlemen!!!!

  • The best rock of the 80´s

  • He is so polite and humble :)

  • wer alles wegen Voice of Germany hier ist : DAUMEN HOCH ! :D

  • geldoff is defo no saint.

  • @rdpark71 how the hell was geldof not a saint? The video you just watched proves how much he did for the famine riddled ethipians, in raising not only awareness for them, but an incredible amount of money, all selflessly. I cannot believe that there are people like you that have the gall to criticise someone who could do so much and save so many lives. I don't care what you think geldof has done to make you say hes 'defo no saint', the creation of Live Aid and stuff makes up for all of that.

  • i remember to NHL98 ..nice game, nice song, nice times X)

  • @Skolky000 It's been NHL99. But you're right. I can hardly remember a song that has been fitting better since to any NHL game! ;)

  • this was a gig put together for all the rite reasons to bad Geldoff is such a fukin prick personal wise

  • i wish i was alive to be there... XC

  • @MisLOVEttSweeneyTodd alive and old enough to be there.

  • See his pug-nosed face...

  • I will never forget this day..........we were human again. Everything seemed possible.

  • why can't we have a concert like this one, today ? for AIDS or other fight ?

    for the peace ?

    Rip freddie mercury :)

  • @DragonicaYoutub Because it didnt fucking work, thats why. All the money from Live Aid went straight to militia people who bought weapons for it, true story.

  • Geil ;-)

  • perfect world day!!!

  • oh-boy- what-a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG bowie how do you do it?

My heart goes out of my chest everytime I watch one of your shows

  • Most deffo one of the best performers on the day, and this has to be possibly the best song.

Fantastic Bowie rendition of a clasic song played with Thomas Dolby made it sound just that little bit extra.

was there in the year it was put on and watched it LIVE on television............awsome Mr Bowie.

  • Considering this is from the absolute nadir of Bowie's career artistically (the period 1984-1987), this is not bad at all.

  • Electric performance, gives me goosebumps!!!

  • i love so much david bowie he is great n awesome

  • We should be heroes for one another.

  • очень обаятельный дэвид. и бесспорно талантлив.

  • Falco loved Bowie, i loved and love Falco, so i have to love Bowie. ;)

Heroes is greater than Falcos Helden von heute, its a perfect Song which can heared 24h a day without attrition. ingenios.

  • great-Man

  • bowie un mito per sempre

  • There was only ONE man who had all hands waving for him when he was on stage: and that was David Bowie....

  • @katjasunflower270971 i think freddie had them clapping

  • The percussionist is called PEDRO OTIS, I know him and have him on my facebook. A proper nice bloke. Lives in Newcastle and still has alot to do with music.

  • 2 the children of the world..save the world...feed the world, lets try and be heroes.

  • 1 guy don't want to be a heroe

  • Everyone likes heroes...

  • what a day it was too something very very special happened in the world then its crystal clear in my mind and what david says is so brilliant and means so much to so many peace and harmony is what the world needs right now !! outstanding it will be with me for all time

  • the best song of that most special day. Not that i saw it. Was listening on the radio whilst travelling to Nijmegan for the annual march.

It was brilliant on the radio too by the way. Always remember that day.

  • Quality performance with some outstanding musicians. Synth wizard Thomas Dolby on keyboard, plus his regular bandmates Kevin Armstrong on guitar and Matthew Seligman on bass. The amazing Neil Conti of Prefab Sprout on drums, who also played on the Bowie/Jagger version of "Dancing In The Streets". (Dolby had already worked with Conti on the Sprout's legendary "Steve McQueen" album). Not forgetting Clare Hirst of The Belle Stars on Saxophone (remember "Iko Iko" & "Sign Of The Times"?). Top class!

  • @PanicBeach : And percussionist? Petro Otis? I never heard anything about it, or there find anything on the internet about it .... you know something of it?

  • simply amazing!

  • el gran camaleon David Jones mejor conocido como David Bowie

el mejor concierto del mundo junto con live 8

  • fierce!

  • utterly, totally wondrous. Brings tears to my eyes every time I see it. THE single most powerful performance at Live Aid and one of the best live performances of all time.

  • Dolby made this song, gave it a different atmosphere that guitars couldn't.......

  • What´s the name of the guy who plays the percussion ?? Petrow ..something :??

  • @codyxiz :his name is Otis Petro, already tried to search something about lee but never found anything ...

  • Bowie's last hurrah .....awesome video

  • great upload & sound quality , thanks

  • fearsome!!

  • great day for the world .... super human

  • This will never be repeated. In was the moment, spontaneous, unrehearsed and real. Magic.

  • I know people are entitled to their opinion, and fair enough, may not like certain music. But, isn't taking the time to watch a video of a performance and then posting a negative comment slating the artist a waste of their time?

I would also love to see how well the people who give negative comments could perform in front of and please a crowd of 72,000.

  • This is by far the very best song that Live Aid did in my HUMBLE opinion.

Bowie was awsome on that fantastic day...................yes I watched it Live!

  • The best song ever, the best concert ever...

  • He's fantastic on the records, but live, he sounds like a poor karaoke dad.

  • @ptracerfastlane No, I absolutely cannot agree to that. Check some of Bowie's other live performances, if you want to do that, for example the 3rd one from top on the right hand side >>> (Heroes live), that one is just one of hundreds of his brilliant live performances. Maybe you can give it a try and change your opinion ?

  • Bowie cannot sing live at all. He's bloody awful.

  • @ptracerfastlane Yeah. Right. Get it right person.

  • He dedicates the song to Duncan Jones ;)

  • Bowie rocked. On that night

  • @rileypupboo I cannot remmeber a night when he didn't!

  • David Bowie was sssoooo Awesome at Live Aid same with Queen and Mick Jagger!

  • @speedskater56 and U2 !
