@airbornerock: a tree? do u have a tree? just dont forget to switch witch had is closest to the crook of the branch each set. When i was a kid i did chin-ups on whatever would hold me. door jams, doors, close racks, trees, close lines. parks, i didnt get a chin up bar till 3 months ago and in in my 20's, that didnt stop me. Quit crying and workout, With your attitude youll be in the same place 10 years from now, crying about how your dad never let you get a chin up bar.
Yeah, me too when 16 was easier and I used to climb as well till my mid 20s. But I disagree, yes pull ups can make you skinny but same as other work outs and no more than cardio training. Maybe you mean it's easier doing them if you weight less, of course it is (this why when 16...), but if pull ups make you skinny that means you had too much unnecessary fat before doing them or don't eat enough while training...
Strength helps, if you are not strong enough you can train by doing jumping pull ups or using a rubber band to assist you. Do this and in a few weeks you will be see improvement
Good to go. I just didn't see it in the video. Bar looks solid and the price is surprisingly cheap. I'm going to check the distance on my studs. If it matches up I'll give it a run. It would still be nice to see a kipping video posted.
Thanks, I ordered one last week and it shipped the next day. Can't wait to get it setup. I'll make a video reply with some different variations and post it back here.
i can't even do one and my friend was laughing .. ><!

Pull-ups can make u very skinny. I could make 3 sets for 20 reps in each with arms fully extended and relying only on strength. I was sixteen then.

I really wanted to buy this bar since it got many good reviews on fitness forums such as crossfit, rosstraining etc.
But the only thing that stopped me from buying was the shipping price to my country.

Is it sturdy enough to kip on? I've seen some heavily anchored bars and bar stations sway under the stress of a single person kipping.
technoismusictoo 3 years ago
This bar was designed for Cross Fit and particulary Kipping. In fact 3 guys could Kip on it at once and it wouldn't even flex
