  • this is exactly what I need to solder electronic components without soldering iron

    thanx for idea

  • The terminators heroin needle....?

  • i think it burns at 1000 c temp.

  • @330MillionGods Hydrogen burning temperature in oxygen is 3200C

  • Smaller outlet hole. Try one from a MIG gun.

  • might be useful for soldering small items..... very small

  • My advice, NEED MORE POWER. LOL

  • Me and some blokes got a Bank job commin up (wink wink) can we borrow your torch?

  • @1BustedMyth HA! HA! HA!

    Nice one.

    I needed that !

  • whats the point in the seccond container?

  • It was just used to hold the hose in place.

  • oh.

  • i tried a syringe but ended up needing a flash arrester cause the needle was too wide

  • You may need to increase pressure in your electrolysis and bubbler. You can add more plates to your setup, and leave as little free-space as possible inside your hho tank and your bubbler. If you still get flashbacks they will be harmless.

    Peace !

  • As much as I know that using aluminum is not favorable for electrodes, Im working with a shoestring budget atm and am curious what you were getting for a lpm with aluminum plates?

  • Sorry I took sooooooo long to reply.

I'm not sure. Using 5 cells of 6, 2-1/2 X 3in,, aluminum plates, I can operate a small torch for a few hours straight. I only started using the stainless-steel wall plates. They work great !

I just need to get more. I used the aluminum because it was easy to work with and free.

    Peace !

  • using a syringe needle as a gas nozzle.... now thats just hilarious/novel!

  • It works, especially the larger needles for drawing blood.

    Peace!

  • hhaahahaa i'm joking

  • I know the flame looks small, but it works !

While it could be better, for now i'll just find a suitable application for this unit.

  • Me too!

  • your battery is running low. you have to recharge or buy new one so that you can finish cooking pasta.

  • At that time, i've been playing with that thing all day..

  • I plan to use it to cook a chicken & rice dinner.

    Once I get it right!

  • @Snapshotok2000 fast food much?

  • You can control the current by varying the distance between electrodes, concentration of your electrolyte, voltage - seems quite enough to me :) besides, tap water may well plate your electrodes with nasty reactive base metals, you might produce chlorine which is very good for your death :) also look up what is the best electrolyte for water electrolysis (i think hydrolysis means the same thing although google suggests hair removal :D). You can try to bypass useless expenses but not physics :)

  • yeah but now you're wasting power on heating the water because of your poor conductivity. So your making yourself open to be taken advantage of by the electrical company. There's no way to make absolutely everything yourself, don't even try. It's better to buy something and make it into something more. Then sell it without robbing people. Farming with sticks and making your own pottery is over :)

  • here in my country the NaOH is less than 3$/kg and you need a very small amount, so that shouldn't raise your costs too much.

  • hey I just thought of something. you need NaOH or KOH to speed things up a bit. And stainless steel electrodes. I've spent quite some time looking for the two bases. NaOH is sometimes used in bee-farming (sorry for the term :D) and KOH should be obtainable from potassium saltpetre by heating it sufficiently. Hold yourself responsible if anything goes wrong though, these chemicals are especially unfriendly to live tissue :) oh and saltpetre might oxydize things when heated, quite spectacularly.

  • Thanks for the info.

But the NaOH and KOH, will cause both the temperature and electrical current to increase too quickley. My new plates are stainlees steel. And I believe that just using tap-water will give me a must longer running time and more controll of my current source.

  • i cannot stand his bs, sorry man :) it's like an alergy or smth. But you go on, keep it up, i just hope you don't discover free energy and die by accident, there would be another wave of insanity on the internet :)

  • No chance of that !

The only way this tech will remain cheap for us, is if we all build this stuff for our own uses. Any time we have to buy something we need from someone, we leave ourselves open to be taken advantage.

    Peace!

  • i thought we were talking about WATER. Tap water is already an electrolyte, pura water doesn't conduct. Try it, "scientist". God I hate when people hang on words just because they want to argue just because they think they're so incredibly smart. Respect to stanley meyer, a great big ***hole who made the whole internet think that miracles happen if you just wire up a battery and some crap in water. Studdy what you're doing. I have to pay respects to you for actually doing it, but it

  • You're right, pure water is a very poor conductor of electricity. But, i'm trying to keep it simple and cheap. I have a larger unit that works very well. Now i'm working on powering the hho unit for several hours straight, to be used as a heater. Please check out the, xogen unit from, Stan Meyers.

It would be great to have something like that/

  • BS man, water itself doesn't conduct at all.

  • Try it.

  • Do you get a gray slime from using aluminum , one of my video shows what I'm talking about.

  • Sorry about taking so long to reply.

Yes, I do get that aluminum oxide foam built-up.

I made some changes in the tank design, and added a vapor/foam catcher to help the hho generator to run longer.

  • Could you please explain why tap water will not conduct. Like Snapshotok2000 said try it , better yet show use all your hho cell or anything you have made yourself.

  • hi i've put together a setup similar to yours with a needle, im producing a lot of hho but when i got to light it noting happens. it just blows the flame but doesn't light. If i stick the torch under water and light the bubbles they pop. did you have any problems like this when you were building you're setup?

  • Sorry that I did not get back to you sooner.

It sound like you did a good job of constructing your hho tank on your own. You may need to use a wider nozzle. Try using that nozzle from an inkjet refill kit. There is too much pressure going threw the line, and is blowing your flame.

Also, try not to add anything to the water in your tank.

    Good luck !

  • you don't use any electolight ?

  • Nothing but water.

My plates are 1/8th., apart from each other.

Water is the electrolyte, and is already a good conductor of electricity. Adding something to the water to increase it's conductivity, will allow you to generate more hho at a greater rate. But it will get hotter just as fast. Soon after your producing more stream than hho.

  • thanks for the advise works like a charm

  • how deep is the tube that connects the cell to the bubbler how far into the first jar is the tube placed in a few inches or all the way at the bottom?

  • whats your output of hho?

  • I'll have to let you know.

  • Cheapness is wonderful.

  • Very practical application and cheap too!

I'm going to be stealing to design hope you don't mind!

    Keep up the good work

  • Very practical application and cheap to make!

I'm going to be stealing it for myself and also putting this up on my page..hope you don't mind!

  • You're more than welcome to it.

I like the cheapness too !

This unit allows people to learn the basics. And it's made from stuff you may have available around the house. And at the same time learn from people like John Arron, and Sir Hoax. By the way, I did get a bigger flame before I decided to video tape it. And it ran for 3 hours before the spaces between the aluminum plates got clod.
