Are you serious? wii has 30+ millions over PS3, and the DS is dominating the handheld market over PSP. Not a fanboy, but Nintendo is on a whole other level compared to SONY.

@BigMacEater343 maybe, but a huge amount of their customers are the elderly and the casual gamers. these are people that they cant really rely on if they intend to release a more traditional console to compete with microsoft and sony.

@BigMacEater343 PS1 sold 100 million units, PS2 sold 150 million units. The NES didn't come close to 100 million, the SNES didn't sell 100 million, gamecube didn't sell 100 million. How many consoles has sold 100 million for Nintendo? Do the research and let me know.

@iheartnonamejane these numbers don't count Nintendo's handhelds or Sony's PSP's in units sold. In the top 10 selling video game consoles of all time Nintendo has 4, and Sony has 3. All 4 of Nintendo's consoles combined 231.31 million. All 3 of Sony's combined 308.88 million. NES debuted in 1983. Playstion 1994. In 11 less years Sony has sold 77.5 million more consoles that Nintendo world wide. The numbers might not be spot on but are close.

The wii is close to selling 100, which would be the first nintendo console to do so, maybe skyward sword will give it that push. Wii has sold more than its competitors (this gen), and handheld wise, last time i read on a legit site it said DS (all iterations) has sold 130+ millions. Making it the most successful handheld ever... Ipod touch excluded, since its not really a handheld although its sold like 250 million.
