Simply ... the best online game ever! No one one actually can beat it, from my point of view. The freedom MO proposes for the players is absolutely outstanding. I just hope Star Vault keep enhancing that great game, not only in PvP< but in all aspects, specially PvE and economy.

@abradras it aint wow. These kinda games do have very low pop if you compare them to WoW. Its a hardcore game and yes there are bugs etc etc but its alot of fun to those that dont rage quit once they get killed.
This was a fantastic and beautiful trailer. But what keeps from trying it, is not the storage of the game (my deus ex save files took over 40 GB..) But the fact that if my character dies, it is dead forever... This sucks if i have travelled alot and found lots of awesome stuff... Also, its easy for people with good armour and weapons to kill badder people...
@SharrkyX When you die it's a short trip to an NPC priest. Also armor and weapons in MO you don't grind for. you find someone who can make them for you. I've died many times and have been re-suited in an hours time. Sorry that you were misinformed. You should try the game. I have and LOVE it.

So since this is probably a stupid question as it varies from person to person but I'm about to start my 14 day trial and I'm wondering how often do you guys get killed? I personally don't have a problem with being killed because well, that's life. If you die it's your fault (usually). So I'm just wondering, do you go hours and hours without dying or is it like you die at least once an hour kind of thing?
@SeanFerrol If you know what your doing and avoid danger then you shouldnt have problems surviving for long periods of time, but if you walk up to a murderer and try and shake hands with him your going to meet a swift end, the same way if you res and run back up to him, its going to end the same way.
@TheDaki75 I will list a few that make it ALMOST unplayable for me = the swimming(just awful),the hit detection(you get hit miles away and often the opponent isnt even facing you),the lag(constant pauses),mobs(stupid ai that gets trapped easily and isnt very pro active when it isnt jumping everywhere),thieves(not really a bug but its just silly how you constantly get robbed).

@cbizzy2009 Of course there's pve. There are legendary monsters which you can go and slay, however once you slay a legendary monster I'm afraid its dead... forever. The pve works how you think it would in real life (lol?) You go find and kill the stuff you need to better yourself. So instead of getting a quest to collect wolf hearts to give to an npc where it disappears forever, you go and find some wolf hide to give to a crafter who uses it to make armor.
This game is amazing when you get into it and understand, at first i was ready to rage quit because i didnt understand anything, but now that i understand ( thank god i did not give up in the free trial) I think that this game is so much more than other mmo´s. Im now a proud owner of the game!
The concept is great, but it would be even greater if it expands to platform versions instead of PC, I would seriously, without a doubt, get into an mmorpg like oblivion, or oblivion itself, if it's on a console like ps3.

There is no reason for a game not to consider itself to release on a platform. Plus, computers aren't always spec for games, yet consoles are already made for them, not everyone can afford a fast computer.

I participated in the beta for a whole six hours, that is how long it took me to fully realize how bad this game is. First of all, yes it is in beta it is going to have bugs, glitches and all that other good stuff by the truck load, but for this game? Even for a beta it had too many of those. Go ahead and buy it if you want, but I am almost certain that you will later find out that you just wasted good money and your time.

let me explain what mortal online is.. the game play.. this is what you'll get... first you are lost... hten you get killed... then you are lost more than you were lost before... if you havn't quit by this point... then you start to learn the game... and realize it is absolute garbage... it's worst than beta.... it's not a game... a kindgom of ten people waiting to kill and make you hate this game... end of story.
I love a lot of the concepts of Mortal Online and wish it the best, unfortunately the game was released in an alpha stage and I'm not considering joining it. I'll check back in a year if they are still running and if Darkfall isn't fully out of beta maybe.
Highly recommend Darkfall over this game right now, Mortal has some decent potential but Darkfall has much better PvP mechanics.

-Permanent death after a certain number of deaths
-Huge world, but no world map
-Possibility to build houses, boats, ships, wagons, and so on, taking LONG time to build
-Possibility to destroy the things you/someone else build
-Full PvP
-No game-chat
-Gameplay NOT leaning towards PvE (which in my opinion is boring as hell), but rather to crafting, forming alliances with other towns, trading with other towns...

The first few days of this game will make you feel like you are playing the worst game ever created, But once you get past that hurdle of getting your skills up to hunt effectively the game becomes fantastic. I havent enjoyed an mmo like this since the old days of SWG.
If you are looking for a game that will constantly have some thing for you to do in it and you can accept the fact of full pvp/loot system its a very fun game.

This game is amazing when you get into it and understand, at first i was ready to rage quit because i didnt understand anything, but now that i understand ( thank god i did not give up in the free trial) I think that this game is so much more than other mmo´s. Im now a proud owner of the game!

The concept is great, but it would be even greater if it expands to platform versions instead of PC, I would seriously, without a doubt, get into an mmorpg like oblivion, or oblivion itself, if it's on a console like ps3.

@tyleroliver And? Final fantasy 11 is on ps2 and you can still have a keyboard and chat, there's also DC universe online recently released, and has voice chat.
There is no reason for a game not to consider itself to release on a platform. Plus, computers aren't always spec for games, yet consoles are already made for them, not everyone can afford a fast computer.

@deledor well yea , you must buy GW2 client + no subscription just like you must buy MO client + monthly subscription . and yea you can buy stuff in GW2 but also its totally up to you. you CANT BUY any bonuses ! stuff they sell its only FLUFF - nice outfits, non combat pets, new hair .. MO = buggy,empty game with top games subscription fee. we can feel confident to call it theft ..there is nothing to argue about really.

@abradras I didnt played Mortal Online. Look at my chain -> I watched YouTube vid for "My Top 10 MMO". I found Mortal. I went to official site. Got amazed by pics and style of web site. I remember Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I imagine Oblivion as MMO. I like Oblivion. Yes, I want try Oblivion-like MMORPG.

@deledor yea they have some beautiful pictures there indeed.. if you would like pay 15e month for nice pictures than this would be ideal game for you. but i would highly recommend to read forums which they have there. you might get some clue from current subscribers in which state this game actually is. right now its like beta testing full of bugs.. and from speed they working on you can count that this game would be finished to stage you would expect from expensive game in 2-3 years.

there is one big mistake people doing when they watch this video. they are using to much imagination. they dream how it would it be if.. well, there is no if. its actually irony, because this is reality of MO. so what you actually saw here? 1) total empty world, max 1-2 chars thinking "wtf im doing here?" 2) no epic monsters, no epic caves. 3) no epic battles 4) no full cities of people 5) couple dull creeps: pig, bull, big chicken. which you hunt alone. you can add to this tons of bugs. gl.

I participated in the beta for a whole six hours, that is how long it took me to fully realize how bad this game is. First of all, yes it is in beta it is going to have bugs, glitches and all that other good stuff by the truck load, but for this game? Even for a beta it had too many of those. Go ahead and buy it if you want, but I am almost certain that you will later find out that you just wasted good money and your time.

let me explain what mortal online is.. the game play.. this is what you'll get... first you are lost... hten you get killed... then you are lost more than you were lost before... if you havn't quit by this point... then you start to learn the game... and realize it is absolute garbage... it's worst than beta.... it's not a game... a kindgom of ten people waiting to kill and make you hate this game... end of story.

I love a lot of the concepts of Mortal Online and wish it the best, unfortunately the game was released in an alpha stage and I'm not considering joining it. I'll check back in a year if they are still running and if Darkfall isn't fully out of beta maybe.
Highly recommend Darkfall over this game right now, Mortal has some decent potential but Darkfall has much better PvP mechanics.

I have a dream...
Does anyone know anything about a MMO with the following:
-Permanent death after a certain number of deaths
-Huge world, but no world map
-Possibility to build houses, boats, ships, wagons, and so on, taking LONG time to build
-Possibility to destroy the things you/someone else build
-Full PvP
-No game-chat
-Gameplay NOT leaning towards PvE (which in my opinion is boring as hell), but rather to crafting, forming alliances with other towns, trading with other towns...

The first few days of this game will make you feel like you are playing the worst game ever created, But once you get past that hurdle of getting your skills up to hunt effectively the game becomes fantastic. I havent enjoyed an mmo like this since the old days of SWG.
If you are looking for a game that will constantly have some thing for you to do in it and you can accept the fact of full pvp/loot system its a very fun game.
