@bringmetheherizon89 Thanks! I really enjoy playing this song, it's really easy and a lot of fun. ZI'm coming back after a bit of a layoff. i will be posting more videos soon. Thanks again for watching! :)
@Skilluh Thank you very much! I ran my guitar thru a Ibanez tube screamer and backed off the distortion just a bit. I am really glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I tried to play this but when i slap the strings it makes the fret i hit make its sound instead of the slap. im palm muting so i know it isnt that. am i hitting it too hard or not hard enough or do you think i just need different strings? answer soon man im a blues man and i gotta play this lol
@Axel10011 Try using the pinky on your left hand to block the strings after every slap..that is what I am doing here. If that doesn't work hit me back and I'll see if I can post up a video for ya to show more detail.
I can't get any work done cuz I'm just watchen these videos but hey,
I don't get paid anyway worken 20/7 job hunten (really at 60 I only sleep 4 hrs a day, ain't ole age a beachball :-(
U know yr old when you job hunt & they ONLY take apps online, no calls & do NOT show up at their door, even Coke A Cola,,, THEN when you go to put yur work history down, truck driven in the 1970s,,, their website boc ONLY has years form 1981 and UP,,, That is when U know U R OLD &, well, goen 2 B out of work!
@TopTributeBands Not to laugh but you got me ROLLIN'! I'm sorry about the job thing..I hope it gets better for you! Evel Knevil once said "A man isn't considered a failure for falling down..he is considered a failure for not getting up!" Stay persistant..You WILL succeed!
Its not all bad, after all, I am working 20/7 but just not getting paid :-/
Besides, I am too busted up to really drive trucks anymore sooo not getting that job that worked out OK but U would really roll on the floor if U knew the whole story behind that one...
Hummm, Gearge Clrlin type comedy perhaps?
They have tribute bands so why not a tribute comedian with a few of my own things tossed in?
Darn, I am only 2 ft tall, blind, bald and toothless so hummm...
Very well done man!..........got the attitude down to the gnats ass,.....not bad for a guy who's like a bear cub playing with his balls,....hahahahah......I read that on John's channel.....hahahah...perfect. Great sound!
LOL! Thanks man! I love Thorogood..This version is a lot of fun. John is a really good guy, He is really creative! Thanks for dropping in and the nice words!
Thank you very much! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Thanks also for the friend invite, I will be posting some new stuff this year and I am looking forward to hearing from you as well! Take care and best wishes in 2010!
very nice. and thanks for the "how to" video. I love that song, but George and John Lee make it seem so much their own that I didn't dare give it a go. You have opened the door, for which, many thanks.
Thanks for the nice comment! It's been said that "In a harbour, a ship is safe, but that's not what ships are for". Challenge the song, put your own special twist on it and see what comes out.. You may be very suprized!
Just standard tuning, but BEND them strangs!!! Use a thumb pick and smack the crap out of that E string! See my "How to" video on this song, good luck. I hope you post it up, I will be watching for it.
Hey THANKS man! I do a better version with my backup tracks I laid down on my Loop station pedal. This one was unplugged. I'll try to get the full version up as soon as I can. Thanks again!
Thank you very much! Yes, actually I do play around. I live in Jax, Fla, so I know how the crowds are! lol! I have backup music for this song I recorded on a loop station and use it when I play gigs. This is just me screwin' around with an acoustic version. Thanks again for checking out my vids!
beautiful :) hearing something like this is making me want to play the blues again. gotta love this kinda stuff, oh, and I do see your lips moving ;) hehe, thx for the comments
Thanks for the compliment man! Its really tough to play with tendon damage in both wrists! LOL! As the song wears on you can hear it come out. I do this song with a backup track played on a BOSS RC2 loop station (see my "Move it on over" video)when I play gigs. It helps provide some backup relief for the ol' wrists! lol! Hey, thanks again for wathing!
I would if I could read music. I can't. What I've learned I have taught myself. This is my version (with a little thorogood for taste) of this song. If you would like to e mail me on my channel I can explain it to you as best I can. Sorry I couldn't help more. Thanks for watching though!
Hey Thanks man! I apprecieate your praise but I'm as average as they come. However if you ever make it to Florida, I'll save you a front row seat! lol! Take care!
Hey Chuck! Sounds great!! Let me know if you end up playing somewhere, the girls and I will come see you! Take care. We'll have to come by soon when you are home. We got 2 dogs! A chocolate and a yellow lab, both about 5 years old. They are awesome dogs. We'll have to bring them by too! Talk to you soon!
very nice chuck, im def gona have to say you did great at coverin this song, if u dont already u should play somewhere like on a friday night at like a bar or something..after downing a few beers maybe?
Great job. That sure is a lotta lyrics, ain't it? I love songs that get all involved in an emotional story of some sort. This song is perfect for that - with a great big dose of boogie added for good measure! Rock on, man! That guitar sounds good, too.
Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, it has a lot to remember! I finally got it right on about the 6th take! LOL! I kind of petered outabout halfway thru the solo as you can tell. My forarms felt like they were on fire!!lol! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks again!

favorite parts of the song:
"He said uh I dunno about wife, she kinda funny."
"I said: I know! Everybody funny! Now you're funny too!"
"She said: I don't believe you're trying to find no job. I saw you today standing on the corner, leaning up against a post."
"I said: but I'm tired!"
This song isn't just great music, it's a real comedy classic!!
