In one episode of JAG, produced by former Marine Donald >Bellisario, It was claimed Marines fought in the Battle of Medina Ridge. No Marines fought in that Battle.The Army's First Armored Division fought that Battle.
The capture of the National palace in Mexico City was not crucial to the capture of Mexico City. After SOLDIERS assaulted and captured Chapultepec(the Marine Battalion did no capture Chapultepec) Mexican resistance collapsed. ?the National Palace was undefended. Before Chapultepec, while soldiers fought and won the battles of Contreras, Churubusco and El Molino del Rey, te Marines guarded supply wagons.

Eaton recruited a force of 500 mercenaries to comduct the assault on Derna. Eaton's force was joined by eight Marines, Lt. Pressly O'Bannon, a sergeant and six privates.
