  • how do you count the windows?. i have a replica 1/12th scale of a 56 samba if anyone could help me out id appreciate it.

  • @gothhearse

The door glass counts as one window. 5 each side, 2 windshields, 1 back glass and 8 roof windows equals 21 windows. A '56 would be a 23 window because it has two extra corner windows in the rear.

  • @6621win thank you so much that was irratating the hell out of me.

  • I have the same woodpecker head on my antenna for mt 69 bus. Go Mooneyes!!!!

  • NICE CAR

  • I wish I never sold my splitty :(

  • I want this bus!!! :)

  • my wife and i are looking to buy a bus, is this one for sale?

    thanks

  • my wife and i were looking to buy a bus, wondering if this one was for sale, let me know, thanks. alex harris

  • Nice Video !!!!!!!

  • '66 is pretty much a Bay Window. Find me a 1958-1961 21-23 window, and I'll give ya props.

  • Sorry. No such thing as a '58-'61 21 window. And certainly no such thing as a '66 bay window.

  • I said " '66 is PRETTY MUCH a bay window" meaning very late splitty, and yeah I've seen a couple '59s and a '60 with 21 windows. Might have been custom, but it looked factory Wolfsburg to me. Yeah, I've owned VW's myself, and know quite a bit. 1968 was the first bay window year.

  • ... thanks for the clarification...

  • No problems. Are we chill?

  • We good.

  • Killer. I found a sweet '63 Notchback on Craigslist and the guy only wants 800 for it. No motor, clean body, straight frame and good seats and everything. '74 Super Beetle 4-speed transaxle with the overdrive (very rare in '74). I'm thinking of picking that up and dropping in an EJ22 Subaru Legacy engine in it. Tell me what you think of the idea so far. It's gonna be set up for rallying.

  • Yeah, that would be mean. From what I understand, the Subaru swap isn't that hard. It'd be perfect in a notch since you actually have room for a radiator. I had a '65 1500S Notchback a few years ago. I really miss that car. It was fully restored and lowered with BRM's. Did I mention I really miss that car?

  • Oh man, you don't even have to mention that you miss it. That6's like one of the best Notchies out there. I would gladly pay over 10,000 for one if it was in showroom quality. Oh yeah, I leave my Volkswagens stock and just lower them, sometimes I'll get on DubWerx (I don't think they're in business anymore) and Wolfsburg websites and order awesome stuff like roofrack, fishing pole holder, etc. So much cool stuff.

  • is everything origenal.. and whats the price...

  • Hey man are you coming to Pickens tomorrow for the Beach Day? I'm bringing the wagon to swap keys with you. See you there.

  • Wish I had money for a 23 window deluxe 63

  • How much?

  • Any repairs to be done, lower suspension? how much i'm on the west coast in three weeks

  • ahhhhh a stink bug!
