In Spain/Some south american countries we usually Smack the lid with a spoon, spank the bottom, drop it really hard on any hard surface (dont do it), or get it wet and with a dry towel just reeeeaally try to twist it around.

In England we get stronger people to open them for us. If no strong people are in the vicinity we run it under warm water and then try and open it with a tea towel. Surprisingly it sometimes works.

@AnimeEyes143 tapping the jar just under the lip with a spoon or butter knife can sometimes cause the seal to break and you can open the jar easier.
