Everybody's fault but hers and other members of the Banking and Finance Committees of Congress. We see now how much you "helped American families" Mrs. Waters.
The irony is untolerable. To watch this video and then watch her try to negotiate a modification for her constituents on the "Maxine Waters Loan Modification" video. Does she get it? Does she get the irony in her actions? To hear her state "the average homeowner has virtually no chance of negotiating a loan modification on their own"...and yet do absolutely nothing about it after she defended the house bill? SERIOUSLY?
Kind of ironic. This video, and then the Maxine Waters Loan Modification video where she flat out states that the "average homeowner has virtually no chance of getting their loan modified". Does she have any clue or see the irony in all of this?
Just great, subsidize bad mortgages by people who can't pay for them - made possible by Democrats like Maxine Waters. A few bad apples spoil the barrel.
She is such a crook, look at her history. Her family makes money from her position in government. The only time she isn't lying is when her lips arent moving. I wonder if her good friend Franklin Raines was one of those she is bashing for "suckering" people into bad loans. He walked away from Fannie Mae with $90 million - and was forced to pay a $25 million in fines for being found guilty of fraudelent accounting practices. He still has $70 million, pigs Franklin & Maxine.
Less than that now that the bill is over $700 Billion, she caused this along with Barney Frank and now she blames the banks, they should all be in jail.
Oh Maxine...Maxine...where are you?? You fought so hard against regulation for Fannie Mae. Where are you now??? C'mon out and defend your actions...oh Maxine....
As the Senate inches toward passage of a $300 billion bill to help homeowners facing foreclosure, a new Rasmussen Reports national survey shows that only 21% of voters think the federal government should provide such assistance.

Watch Maxine the crook defend Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae 3 years before they melted down. She should be in prison, not Congress.

Democrats love Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac because they think that anyone who doesn't have a job should get a loan.

At 3:35. Waters claims there won't be big losses if the govt helps out the mortgage industry. Result: subprime meltdown.

AHAHAHA...2004 she defended de-regulation in 2004. I quote "Fannie Mae under the leadership of Raines has done a wonderful job."
Raines pocketed 1.5 million by putting 10.6 billion dollars on the books but thats ok cause hes progressive.
