@mrscottsquires Really like Stew, but Tim is king... watch "Carpool" with Tim Vine and Robert Llewellyn, where he's just doing one-liners off the top of his head in regard to what they're talking about in normal conversation, Stewart is amazing but I doubt he can do much out of his written/scripted work. "Tim Vine" on "Talent Cake TV" (some budget Australian crap) is also AMAZING, like I say the speed of the geezer's wit is untouchable. Take nothing from Stew though! Just my opinion :)

There are a few one-liner, sort of old-fashioned comedians out there, such as Jimmy Carr and Tim Vine, but Stewart Francis is by far the best. The others tend to make me cringe as much as anything.

I think the problem is that touring comedians aren't always designed for television; if you're on tour, the whole point is that you do a show, telling the same jokes each night (though obviously there is room for growth). To actually be constantly writing new material is incredibly difficult, so when comedians perform on various TV shows, it's very easy to work through everything you have very quickly, and this is especially true of a stlye like that of Stewart Francis.
