its just a different style of riding. People said the same thing about dirtjumpers and rigid mtbs with bmx geometry, but people shred on those too.

The best fixed gear freestyle riders are also BMX riders, and they bring over their style and tricks as well as bike setups because its better for doing tricks.

Why not ride BMX? Some people prefer fixed gearing and big wheels. Being able to fakie forever is also cool
