it seems like with alot of these tiger vs lion videos that a tiger is a solitary self sufficient creature as where the lion is a pack animal and is probably more in it for the long haul and the tiger may be lucky that he is able to, with his speed and strength, often get the lion to back off before the tiger runs out of energy. All fights with these animals aren't perfectly matched pound-for-pound, or motivation for motivation. Ever see a cat chase off a much larger dog? I have... many times. Some of those dogs could have ended it in seconds. Point is it's the fight and the show the animal presents, not just science that decides.

They must be smaller. The largest elephants on earth r full grown african elephants and lions can kill them. Anyway i been watching this show called 'tiger spy in the jungle' by divid atembra and it shows just how crap they r. They have like no threats. They hunt small spotted deer and little monkeys. Leopards r like there largest threat and they r small as. One mother tiger raised 4 cubs and all of them survived cause there life is so easy. And the elephants filming them were neva attacked.

ur talking as if the lions eat elephant everyday! they only go for them if there's no smaller prey, elephants and other large prey is not a daily prey for lions or tigers. I think most ppl see tigers attacking elephant's calfs and see it as weak but its survival! the tiger has the ablitly to attack a full grown elephant but what price? if a lioness gets injuried than she has her pride to bring food, and a tiger has just its self and cubs if its a mother.

well lions have to be together in africa is a harsh place to live, even lions get killed by heynas, so yeah they need to look out for each other.

tigers have to be aloners, if they ever become like lions they destory their enviorment.

I have more than 7 accounts of lone tigers and tigress attacking and killing elephants, just ask me for it. You are a loser to deny this fact. A male tiger can hunt a gaur alone, that's a known fact. Email and ask any experts and they will tell you a male Tiger is a much better predator than lions. Even lionfan Dave Salmoni says that Tigers are the top land predators!

Why don't u try living in a jungle and tell me how easy it is to live there?

as you can see one swipe from the male lion always sends the tiger flying. tigers have speed but lions have brute strength. one bite from an barbary can end it in an instant.

these lions didnt look like the asiatic lions we see in most of the videos, this looked like an barbary lion or an african lion.
