  • i dont see how the magnetixc stripes or going to stick on my plexiglass

  • @turbotonic27 one option is to glue some magnetic strips onto the plexiglass surface but that would be a permanent solution and possibly not a very pleasing look.

  • You should put the filter on the inside in between the fan and the case and just use scissors or a knife to cut small holes for the screws, it will look better I guess.

  • check out my work around on this case for filtering dust :) enjoy

    watch?v=6NasHLgdCls

will work on any pc fan :) dust pwnage :)

  • By doing this, how could you remove the fan?

  • @MistaSL well its magnetic adhesive to the surrounding area of the fan and doesnt get in the way of the screw holes for the fan

  • @eddles777 So then you need to remove the filter in order to remove the fan?

  • dude im in america. r u in austraila or something?

  • @EVehicleJ yeh i am in aus

  • @eddles777 i thought so cuz bunnings warehouse is there

  • Kewl man, I will try this, whats the song name?

  • Hello man,

I saw that your cooler is screwed into a black grill. That doesn't make the cooler noisy? I'm having this problem here with my haf 922, when I screw the cooler into the side panel, wich has grills, it makes a loud sound =/. Any ideas for what I can do to fix that ?

  • @barbosento

hey man, i used coolermaster blue led 12cm fans on my build. yeah it does make it a bit noisy and thats because its not secured properly to the contact point. i had the same problem with my fan screws, one of them just didnt want to fit properly, i got it fixed just going down to my local hardware store and brought the screws with me and just found shorter ones.

I was lucky enough to find screws with a thin rubber mount (similar to ones you see in your toilet washer handles). If you find that your fans are still noisy, you might want to look at quieter fans with a rubber mount like the noctua cooler fans. hope that helps buddy

  • Just buy fan filters on ebay. They have nice ones and they don't cost a lot, at least to me.

  • glad it has helped you, just make sure the materials u r using isnt affecting the case fan too much, on mine its about 5% depending on temperature. on idle-29c and full load-38c

  • Very nice, I'm thinking of building a AUS $1500 i5 build, with an Antec 300, and was concerned about the lack of filters on the sides. Nice solution.
