ohhh - there will never be a better era then 90s r&b and new jack swing, when the ladies ruled the airways - SWV, Jade, Karyn White, Tracy Spenser, Xcape, Brownstone...
1 of my favorite songs from the 90's because it was original, clean & classy. Didn't rely on sexual overtore or sampled 70's & 80's music to get through, still stood on it's own. Ce Ce Penderston's (if spelled correctly)" Keep On Walking" is another good example.
This can't be from 96 I remember this song from 93-94 I think, this is a lit up ass retro jam. This is a cool as jam, this was a classic of its time and one of a kind.
If artists and record labels took the time to read the comments made on youtube about what was so great about music back then, then maybe they wouldn't produce the 1minute hits they do now that age as fast as the song came it.
i fuckin love thats song it too me over 16yrs too find this song man whoevet you are that posted this just let me say your the fuckin best and thank you
see now if this was a video made today she would be wearing the skimpiest outfit possible, in a club drinking alcohol and dancing with half her arse out.
and here back in the day she's dressed and dancing with dignity and the focus is on the music not the sex appeal.
@howcanyoudothistome1 Artful Dodger never made a mix of this you are thinking of the Kelly G mix which he is American. So called UK Garagae was a bastardized version of U.S. Garage which developed from Larry Levan's Paradise Garage sessions in New York City in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Learn your history.
@mayena yea yea... i heard he didn't make the mix.. either way i don't care because i just found it listed under his name and I STILL think it sounds better. So thanks for giving me the HISTORY LESSON. But ur efforts have been wasted because the point i was trying to make was that I think it sounds BETTER.
@howcanyoudothistome1 Error of the UK distributor to list Artful Dodger as the remixer instead of Kelly G. I agree with you like, what I comented before, the Kelly G is far superior than the original version.
@howcanyoudothistome1 You have your opinion & we have ours. Most people who look for this song want to hear R & B music not a wack fast paced garage version. To say that cheesy garage remix is better makes no sense when the 2 forms of music are totally different just like there is a huge difference between hip hop music & rap music. We over here in the US like the Zhane, Ce Ce Peninston & Chantay Savage SOUL sound of the 90's!
Part 1. I notice you said ' YOU have your opinion and WE have ours', But YOU don't speak for everyone in the US. Infact someone from the US actually agreed with me that they thought the Garage version which i was later informed was mixed by Kelly G (someone from the US) was far superior to the original.
@howcanyoudothistome1 That someone you're refering to is not from the US, that person is also from the UK! I noticed that only people from the UK like that garage remix. This lp version was the only one that got played in the US & it was a hit.
@musiqgem Regardless of whether that person was from the US or not ( Which u seem to be quite thrilled about) , the rest of my arugument still stands to order.
@howcanyoudothistome1 Well the rest of your so called argument just collapsed also because I never stated that I speak for everyone in the US, I said We as in all the US people that commented on this video! I saw that the only people that think the garage version is better are people from the UK. The negative comments left on the videos for that Eurotrash version are from the US.
@musiqgem part 1.You can't change what you meant because you never stateted that 'you only spoke for the people who commented on this vide'o in the first place. Your starting to make it very obvious that ur only going to try and twist the truth of ur previous comment in order to win the argument , when we both know what you meant.
@howcanyoudothistome1 I see why you chose the name you call yourself on youtube, is that what you said to the last person that made you feel like an ARSE on here? Are all you Brits this lame, listen to how you sound "CASE CLOSED" "I'm right & you're wrong" "The rest of my argument DOES stand to order & always WILL" That sounds like a childish brit who always needs to win a debate, grow some Cojones! Saying the artists are in my mom's cd collection tells me that you're just a YOUNG COMPUTER NERD!
part2.So you saying that you meant 'we as in all US people that commented on this video !' , just makes it sound like you've been backed into the corner and are now try to minipulate the true.... you sound slightly childish. I will no longer be replying back to you.
Ps. The rest of my argument DOES stand to order and always WILL.
Ps. Your the only person on this page who has decided to reply back to me in such a childish, ignorant and impertinent manner, my aim was for us to exchange our individual thoughts and opinions. You have replyed back and come across as an extremely small minded person. I have chosen to no longer reply back to you as your opinion no longer matters to me .Its evident that I'm right and your wrong. Good riddance.
Part 2. You said it yours self ' I have my opinion' I don't speak for everyone in the UK so don't you dare make the assumption that British people don't listen to good 90's soul music. Some of the very names you mentioned are in my mother's cd collection.
Part 3. So let it be known that it was infact my knowledge of 90's soul which enabeled me to come to the conclusion that the original of this song was weak in comparision to so many other great 90's tracks, it was not just an intentionally Rude and Dismissive comment, much like the attitude reflected in ur reply.
what's crazy is ppl always complaining about missing the golden days of r & b but we forget we HAVE talent out today that we don't support. Jazmine Sullivan, Musiq, Eric Benet, K. Michelle, Jill Scott, India.Arie, Bilal, Jaheim, Raheem Devaughn, Floetry, etc. All these artists get pushed to the side because compared to mainstream, they're not getting the sales or the airplay as the lesser talented. as consumers, surely we can do more than complain. Faith Evans is dropping an album soon, buy it.
@snowman1919 Yeah, there's some good singers now that aren't gettin' enough play. But, back in the day there were more artists out there gettin' a lot of play and they bought more variety to the table. Plus, they was still gettin' a lot of play and you had to have talent to be successful. Now, it's like you gotta have some gimmick to be a hit.
@QCongress83 you ain't neva lied. I was speaking with some fam on that topic. Radio was also more independent back in the day. Now labels control much of what is being played. That's also a big factor
@Retroman2000 man u said it theirs Hella artist that bite peoples shit and it sounds fuckn stupid but worst of all they fuck up the song but u gotta keep in mind that u know what good music is and they have no idea what good music is or sounds like, so the way I put is let them listen to that garbage I'm 23 yrs young but I grew up listen to r&b,funk, neo soul and oldies to name a few
Like,Sade,Isley brothers,gap band,earth wind and fire,Luther vandross,Barry white,Teddy pendergrass,Frankie Bever
Who is the target audience for the New Generation music nowadays? Teens...teens who are fans of new generation music. Now you may fool the kids with all this remake garbage ive been hearin over the radio for the last couple of years and they find it COOL and worse they go out and purchase that album(im not naming any artist). But when ol skool folk hear that same shit...theyre just going to think like..you aint foolin me with that...(Chuckle) fuck outta here.
I just love this song, I miss music like this. She was so pretty kinda reminds me of Tyra Banks a little. Everything about this song just flowed so perfectly.
@mbs91388 You are absolutely right. This and the 'I Belong To You' (Remix) are very similar in music and vocal quality. Her voice is a mix of Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Chantay Savage. Very underrated artist.
Yeah what happen to her? I thought she would really blow up big back in 95 when I first saw her video. I mean she had the appeal, the look and of course that beautiful voice! Interesting this other artist that came out the same time she did that year (I think his name was Rome) was talking on the radio and he wanted to do a duet with Tina. I'm like you rudielor, they asses need to come back! I'm sick of this Lady Ga & all the other bullshit so-called singing.
@gun15509 seems like she just took a back seat. These record companies drop em so fast. Like Rena Scott who is advertising a new CD via FB and utitilizing other avenues. I even wonder if Tina Moore performs anymore. When you read about the ladies from Klymaxx, they became electricians etc.(Well one or two members are still fighting over the name and performing with the name. It's a pretty, sad unpredictable cold business at times.
Love Tina Moore! Perfect vocalist. She is far too underrated and that is a pity for all who truly love and crave good music. She under celebrated, under appreciated, unsung vocal super heroine.
Everything about this video is tight! Tina, the dancers and the little story line of the video. It makes me think about being in love not just sexing someone.
deesks1...you are so correct!!!! Anticipating hooking up with someone you really LOVE and miss!
I mention Tina Moore here in Memphis,Tennessee and people look at me strange. I don't understand. this song was in heavy rotation in the summer of 1995 and they always played it on Video soul/BET.
This song got my attention BUT hear Tina's version of "At last". This shows the true talent she had. I thought she was an up and coming star after buying her first CD. Her version of "At last" is the BEST I have ever heard, better than Beyonce's and Etta James, Just my thoughts!
you got to remember. when she came out with this single. toni braxton was all on the charts and she sounded so much like toni. when i first heard the single i was suprised it wasnt toni.
Always thought the original version was average at least but the Kelly G Bump-N-Go Mix, I was feeling that straight away. But two years later in 1997 this remix was categorized as part of the UK garage scene, thought it was bit strange.
After fourteen years I still love this song! i miss the summer of 95 when Karyn White, Mokenstef, Pure Soul, Kut Klose and many others were doing it. i hate to say it but music is lame right now except for Keyshia cole, Jennifer Hudson, and jeremiah.
I notice that R&B and soul in the 80's and early 90's were the best tracks I have listen to in ages. Everyone's right, the new age of music in this generations suck ass. Golden Age Rules.
@MegaMecha5 When I heard first this original version in 1995 I thought it was very average and it is not a true representation of 1990's R&B music. The Kelly G mix is far more superior. It only reached # 27 on the Billboard R&B charts (1995).
@mayena How do you figure that remix represents 90'sR&B? Just like I told that other dude, you have your opinion & we have ours. Most people who look for this song want to hear R&B not a wack fast paced garage version. To say that cheesy garage remix is superior makes no sense because the 2 forms of music are totally different just like there is a huge difference between hip hop music & rap music. We over here in the US like the Zhane, Ce Ce Peninston & Chantay Savage SOUL sound of the 90's!
@musiqgem Because this lp version was not very original and sounded generic like the other mid 1990's hip-hop soul recordings, which I like. The Kelly G remix was different plus it sounded so fresh and new in 1995.
This is a phat tune and Tina Moore is a babe with a gorgeous voice. Sorry but have to say also its better than the artful dodger remix and that is good.
I haven't heard this song this entire millenium! I remember mimicking this song all the time in high school. This song is a trip down memory lane! This is another great one hit wonder.
maybe she didn't make it to the top because she didnt want to be part of the mason/illuminati circle you must agree to be part of or simply say byebye music career....this is a well known fact that to reach the top in the music industry you must sell out and sell your soul!
Beyonce on the other hand sold her soul long time ago and is a mason just like her creepy husband jay-z in my oppinion...all the real sisters never make it cause they have morals a concience and respect for their life!
I was 5 years old when this joint came out and i remember it too. Ahh where are all the real talented artist at, please stand up? again will the real talent please stand up? I'M RIGHT HERE!!! LOL
this was the song man in women this song been out sense i was 12 so it had to come out in 1992 i remember i never for get a song. check it out this song is like 17 years old.
This song is dope! She sounds like Toni Braxton, but a better version.

@playboyis24 I think she sounds more like early Toni Braxton, back when Toni first came out and actually wore clothes.

I mention Tina Moore here in Memphis,Tennessee and people look at me strange. I don't understand. this song was in heavy rotation in the summer of 1995 and they always played it on Video soul/BET.

I could never figure out who the hell this was, I was only a really little girl when this came out! thnx for uploading

This song got my attention BUT hear Tina's version of "At last". This shows the true talent she had. I thought she was an up and coming star after buying her first CD. Her version of "At last" is the BEST I have ever heard, better than Beyonce's and Etta James, Just my thoughts!

Agreed. Tina moore was slept on. I hate that.

I agree.. love this version =)

MegaMecha5 2 years ago 25
Agreed. People these days don't know how to write sweet melodies. I love this song.

Especially underground RnB like this kicks ass.
Yeah, FUCK "BIRTHDAY SEX"
qwandiddy 2 years ago 5
@MegaMecha5 When I heard first this original version in 1995 I thought it was very average and it is not a true representation of 1990's R&B music. The Kelly G mix is far more superior. It only reached # 27 on the Billboard R&B charts (1995).
mayena 1 year ago
@mayena How do you figure that remix represents 90'sR&B? Just like I told that other dude, you have your opinion & we have ours. Most people who look for this song want to hear R&B not a wack fast paced garage version. To say that cheesy garage remix is superior makes no sense because the 2 forms of music are totally different just like there is a huge difference between hip hop music & rap music. We over here in the US like the Zhane, Ce Ce Peninston & Chantay Savage SOUL sound of the 90's!
musiqgem 1 year ago
@musiqgem Because this lp version was not very original and sounded generic like the other mid 1990's hip-hop soul recordings, which I like. The Kelly G remix was different plus it sounded so fresh and new in 1995.
mayena 1 year ago
This is a phat tune and Tina Moore is a babe with a gorgeous voice. Sorry but have to say also its better than the artful dodger remix and that is good.

maybe she didn't make it to the top because she didnt want to be part of the mason/illuminati circle you must agree to be part of or simply say byebye music career....this is a well known fact that to reach the top in the music industry you must sell out and sell your soul!
Beyonce on the other hand sold her soul long time ago and is a mason just like her creepy husband jay-z in my oppinion...all the real sisters never make it cause they have morals a concience and respect for their life!
