As a US Senator, Obama will be criticized on every vote he makes and he's not trying to take more criticism as "anti-patriotic." That's our system. He wants to spend another 50 billion on a stimulus package, send troops to Afghanistan, create another government bureaucracy for health care. His policies will add 3 TRILLION to the nation debt after 2 terms (he does not address the 10 trillion dollar federal debt at all). He has no plan to address the 60 TRILLION in liabilities for the entitlement programs.

The speech was inspiring. But I need to know about his cabinet before I can make a final choice. I need to know who he will pick for DOJ above all. I think I can pretty much predict who McCain would choose, the type of person anyway. But with Obama, there is still much more to learn about him before Nov and I'll be watching.

CNN had a complete show on the Fed, and the deregulations which were done in the last Democratic Administration, and how those pre bubble moves created the economy we are now eating. It takes 5 to 10 years for an economy to catch up! So, you cannot blame one person. It is cumulative - Clinton actually cut our national defense so we were more vulnerable, and then the next guy inherited a mess. McCain has a true record of working with both sides. Senator Obama has speeches!

Try studying macro/micro economics and see that it takes 5 to 10 years for impacts to hit the general population. Try researching Greenspan, as CNN did, and see the affects of each group.Try looking at how vulnerable our national security cuts made us so Bush inherited the terror messes and got blamed for things set in motion way before him. Try being grateful that Bush kept your country safe for 8 years so you could be free to bash him!

Most of the deregulation under Clinton happened because there was a Republican house and senate that believed government was incompetent and tried to privatize everything. Clinton didn't simply cut national security, he just didn't get us into a war where we are dumping our money into an enormous black hole. I think most of Obama's message against McCain was simply saying that things are going badly now under Bush and McCain wants to keep that going, is that what you want for the next 4 years?

Clinton caused the deregulation. And Clinton cut the budgets to the point of vulnerability. Further by ignoring the prior terror attacks, he opened the door for the results later. This was all put in place before Bush even took over.

As a US Senator, Obama will be criticized on every vote he makes and he's not trying to take more criticism as "anti-patriotic." That's our system. You haven't heard one good reason to vote for Obama, but I'll give you two: He's our best chance of getting out of Iraq and he's not going to push the same agenda that Bush had for the last 8 years of giving everything to the corporations and leaving everybody else to fend for themselves in a country where prosperity is only available to the elites.

But not at the expense of the middle and lower class, which is what Obama will do!
