Young people should try listen to smooth jazz ...and leave that LIL Wayne and Rick Ross crap alone for awhile ....don't be afraid to try something different
Always a treat at a time like this at 6:47a, pm 9/28/2011. Planning to celebrate the Month of October for my 70th year. Listening to jazz like this really makes the day begin with a decided mellow bang! The next time you're in Cleveland, include me in the mix. Thanks for the music message!
One of my all time favorites from Walter Beasley! Just love that smooth jazz sound, that acquired taste that a lot of people don't connect with but I can't get enough of.
I am so glad somebody posted this song. I remember that I bought this project on tape and it busted LOL. I used to play this song over and over. Walter Beasley is tight! Keep it rocking jazzsax1965
i kno wat you mean man. I listen to hip hop a lot but my dad loves smooth jazz and i like it too as well. Sometimes i need a break from some hip hop now and then and relax to some smooth jazz.
@jazzsax1965 I hear you. My uncle from Chicago sent my father a WNUA aids charity cd back in 1992 and I was the one who ended up listening to it. I was only 12, but I was hooked after I finished the cd. The first song that made me love this sub-genre was Ronnie Jordan-After Hours. Shame that the sound is dying. Radio stations across the country are dropping their smooth jazz formats.

I'm feeling you jazzsax1965 on this piece, his music is so smooth. I like to work instrumental grooves like this into my spoken word material.

I agree with you, and it's DEFINITELY NOT "ELEVATOR MUSIC" I defend my right to love smooth jazz. It's so relaxing and sexy.

I don't even use that term. In fact, I've heard All types of music in the elevator.
