  • No teleprompter, just off the top of his head mostly. A real leader.

  • What an incredible leader... we haven't had one like him since... and sadly we may never ever ever have another like him... and we will NEVER HAVE... another John Fitzgerald Kennedy. RIP 1917-1963

  • Those whose spirits are attracted to this heroic man, publicly executed by the dark powers that have ruled and nearly destroyed America since then, may wish to read the recent "JFK and the Unspeakable: Why he died and why it matters". This speech was virtually ignored at the time in the US. How sad. Let us remember him and draw strength from that memory. He left us enough to hold onto.

  • The question is, can we surrender our weapons and they surrendering theirs? Is there such a trust where together, we disarm ourselves. End war and killing. We begin developing non lethal weapons where the weak when leading for good and right, can help contain the evil strong. And are those weapons, for use among the good and right forever be, or can they fall into the hands of evil for evil uses. How do we develop a world, a system where there is no more evil in this world. Is it possible?

  • Replace the word "communists" with "terrorists" and that's the bogeyman we have today. Vote Ron Paul in 2012; he's the only candidate, Republican or Democrat, who wants to bring the troops home, immediately. His politics are more conservative than Kennedy's, but he speaks the truth, like JFK did.

  • i assume anyone watching this has read 'jfk and the unspeakable'.... if not, read it.

  • @911TruthFighter - Fantastic book.

  • wisdom far beyond his years....should not his birthday be comemorated as a holiday instead of being reminded of that ugly heartbreaking day in November?

  • All great comments, Obama is not a president he is a puppet of the NWO, CIA and Industrial Military Complex. I feel true concern for our World's people as we careen almost out of control and without leadership, toward the high possibility of global annialation at the hands of the elites. We have lost our republic, it has been taken over by the banking cartel, etc. RIP America.

  • @sfkm With great sorrow, I must agree with you. There is little to be hopeful of in today's world. There was a small, 30 year window during the 20th century (1938 - 1968) where it appeared that America's potential, through authentic representation of the people, was within our grasp. That was hope was destroyed when the MIC and CIA murdered JFK, and then RFK. It has been a slow descent ever since.

  • Great speech Mr. John Kennedy Rest in peace, rest in peace!!!

  • AMERICAN UNIVERSITY!!!!

  • You all will hate me for saying this but...... I came here because of Oliver Stone's JFK. A part of this speech was used in the intro of that movie. And I wanted to here the whole thing.

  • Robert Dallek “The sudden end to Kennedy’s life and presidency has left us with tantalizing ‘might have been’s’. Yet even setting these aside and acknowledging some missed opportunities and false steps, it must be acknowledged that the Kennedy thousand days spoke to the country’s better angels, inspired visions of a less divisive nation and world

  • You younger generations listen to this speech, or record it and listen it over and over, cause this is the truth he was murdered for with some other speeches.

  • @barthoedemaker absolutely true man; he advocated in his speech that we examine our OWN attitudes towrd the Soviet Union (our perceived enemy then) and look inward. This did not sit well with the MIC (military Industrial Complex) that Ike talked about in his farewell speech. They killed the people's President and to this day, they still hold the crown.

  • @unknowabletao "They killed the people's President and to this day, they still hold the crown."

Truer words were never spoken. I was sick to my stomach over July 4th, considering America hasn't been a democracy since '63, and the forces of EVIL responsible for the JFK's murder, and the military coup that followed, remain in power today.

  • i was born on the anniversary of his death i am now 22 years old i know now that my future is in his past and i will do all that is in my power as a human being to bring equality to all man kind (this includes woman lol ) no matter the race creed or skin. im sorry but we all come from enchant apes in Africa we are all the same in the end (everything) god or science we all come from one thing we should respect that you are me and i am you

  • @brentpal Keep the good fight alive and spread the legacy of JFK.

  • Last president we ever had

  • Comment removed

  • Somebody call the department of energy, we need power :D

  • It's a shame that this speech isn't more well known; often overshadowed by his inaugural address, this is Kennedy's best speech, bar none. Absolutely beautiful, harrowing, and symbolic of what truly is the most important topic on Earth, and will be for all time: World Peace.

  • From JFK to Sarah Palin -- Rome is indeed burning. Requiescat in Pace, Mr. President.

  • The last president who spoke for the people. Every president since Dallas has been a puppet.

  • I'm 16 and this is by far my favourite president! Everytime I have downtime in US History I read through all the chapters that have anything to do with him. I really like his voice, haha.

  • @NancyDrewGameGuides Tell your friends about him, and keep his important legacy alive.

  • 6:30 - Perhaps the greatest words ever spoken in a presidential speech.

  • amazing!thank you!

  • 2:40 to 3:19

That's the most amazing quote by a president in modern times.

  • last great president! (or could have been great)

what a long line of terrible successors too johnson, nixon, ford, carter, reagan was good though, bush, clinton was ok, bush again, and finally the horrible obama

  • @xenomann442 Even in the aftermath of trickle-down economics, free-trade, privatisation, deregulation, the export of US manufacturing, union-busting, the concentration of corporate wealth and power, the upward-skewing of US income distribution etc, and among the now rapidly swelling numbers of a new permanent American Underclass 30 years in the making, the Reagan myth persists. Go figure. Propaganda, and the power of suggestion, I guess.

  • rest his soul he truly was an angel amongst the devils. in this poor mans case the bad just outwieghed the good. i would love to know what they are hiding that is worth killing people to keep their secrets sealed.

  • @fruitlupes314 The Military Industrial Complex stood to lose their profits at the hands of a president who dared to speak of peace in the middle of the cold-war. As we've seen time and time again throughout history, the evils of the profit motive have no bounds. Those who stood to acquire billions, were willing to risk nuclear annihilation to meet that objective, as well as murdering both JFK, and RFK.

  • Obama holds the office of President of the United States AND Chairman of the Security Council of the UN; as he is an attorney, he certainly understands the legal ramifications of this. He is no JFK.

  • Such a good man.

    What an inspiration

    RIP JFK

  • as far as im concerned, this is one of the greatest speeches ever made by an American President. This was his vision of the end of the cold war and i think that had he lived the cold war would have ended much sooner then it did .He didnt invision a world where the US was the dominate nation necessarily,he said in another speech that he envisioned a world where" the strong were just ,the weak secured and the peace preserved"radical thinking for the times ,its shows that he had the gonads

  • @meuccilawless You got that right bud.

  • The only great President in my 53 years on this earth. The intelligence - the grasp of what the future could be.....

    It brings tears ....still...

  • @greenwoodtea He was a leader , there is a difference between a leader and a president , and John F. Kennedy was a leader

  • @greenwoodtea I couldn't agree more, and I am 44. I have recently been reading books on JFK, and until this time, didn't grasp what a profoundly great man, leader, and especially how brave he was. Brave in the sense (as demonstrated in this speech that is arguably, one of the greatest and most significant speeches ever given by an American president) that he stood up to the forces of evil within his own government, who insisted on starting nuclear war with the Russians. He waskilled as a result

  • Google "Many Small Fission Nukes at the WTC"

  • He sure was, Bear.

Let's hope Obama remembers these sentiments as he decides on Af/Pak.

  • @ColtraneNYC Hope and change LOL? What morons you all were, voting for a mindless slogan.

  • What a shame... He truly was the Man to lead...
