the Vanderbilts built the house waaaaaaaay back.. its called The Biltmore House.. and its not a hotel,, and its not fake,, and dumbass.. your house is not bigger.. (for all the fucking morons out there). its located in Asheville, NC.. it is a private residence although no one actually resides there any longer,, its just a tourist attraction, where you can tour all the rooms, and people.. LOOK AT THE HOUSE!! the inside is just as luxurious.. how do i know this? i live about 5 minutes away!!

Yep, it's in Asheville, it was finished in 1895, & a descendent of the builder still owns it. IIRC, it is self-supporting, due to the number of people who go thru it every year. Part of the last Peter Sellers film, "Being There" was filmed at Biltmore. It is truly a site to behold-the original estate encompassed some 100K acres...A "Must-See" if you're close to Asheville..
