@junjun798 First off, how do you know the R142As from the 6 train is being converted to R188s for the 7 train? Second, the 6 is not a "line", it's a train or route. Lines are the IRT Lexington Avenue Line for example to which the train service routes run on.

@RollOverMyHead One look at the car number,2 look at how many cars they have the 6 has the exact amount of 370 R142As iv spoken to commuters who had told me the same and as well look at the car numbers just the primary orders are being converted what line is it the 6 the 4 has the the option orders get ur info straight by the way why do u keep arguing.It said it on the R188 contract and as MTA has released just the 6 will be converted and the 4s R142As will stay where they are.

@junjun798 If you don't like the R142As on the 6, well that's your problem, not the MTA. We are railfans and we have strong feelings. R142As should stay on the 6 because then the MTA will have to keep changing rollsigns on those R62As (if they come back on the 6).

The only confirmed part of the R188 contract is CBTC because that was what was specifically stipulated in the RFP for the R142A conversion kits.

@RollOverMyHead Just the 6 is losing ALL if its 370 r142As to the 7 in exchange it will get 370 R62As from the7 the other 71 sets its unknown where they will go to the 6 ran R62As if u dont know (1987 when they came into service-2003 the 6 gave up its R62As to the 7 in 2003 so technically the 7 has the 6 lines R62As .
