...almost no winner of the Chopin competition can play this piece properly...Argerich can't, Blechacz can't, Yundi can't, so no shame Avdeeva does not sound here all that great...
@jen1989z ...of the 4 people I mentioned here Argerich is the best, but, she is still curiously sloppy, and, what is more serious, unfocused...plays without much conviction, which, for her, is unusual. Her role model, Horo is better, no surprise there, for other worthy tries check out Malcuzynski, and Piotr Paleczny (from 1970).
@juiceforjoe If Yulianna Avdeeva doesn't "speak" to you, then why don't you get the eff off her page instead of spamming her with your bullcrap? You're just envious because she'll be a huge success, and you'll still be on YouTube writing trifling, meaningless drivel on others' videos. Would you like some cheese with your whine? Now go some place and pick your nose or something, and leave her outstanding video alone. You're the one who looks like a kid: " Buwaaaah! Where's my bottle?"
@juiceforjoe - Hey, JUICE! lololol I don't have to KNOW you. I know your kind. You have no life, you're jealous because you also have no talent, and go around critiquing those who do. If she doesn't "speak" to you, that's because she's not TRYING to "speak" to YOU, narcissist. Unique means nothing for this piece. There are not many "unique" ways to play it. If she were blonde, wearing a low-cut blouse and a short skirt, you would be loving it, hypocrite. ROFL
@ClassicalMusicPL - Listen you no talented MF, opinions is one thing, but INSULTS is another. Now run along and scratch your ass and leave this genius WHO WON THE COMPETITION, (DUH) ALONE!!! You jealous faggot piece of garbage.
@juiceforjoe: "I don't believe in conservatories". Yea, right. I thought so, based on your ignorant comments here, which is why I asked where you went to school for piano. So with a "mentor", you claim that you're going to take part in the International Chopin Competition, 2015! :P Quite laughable.
@juiceforjoe - Yeah, I can tell by your videos that you are a "high-level" pianist. Are you Li, or are you Lisitsa? Oh, maybe you're Rubeinstein. lololol And for the record, good judgement doesn't mean bringing out everything you find WRONG with a piece! Good judgement also means complimenting her on "the rest of the piece" too. And the fact that that SHE won the 2010 Chopin Competition. There's a reason why SHE won it over everyone else...
@crazyunicorn20 Please. There is no need to judge. She is an amazing pianist... better than you'll ever be. You try performing in front of thousands of people and get over a very small mistake.... you'll probably break down and cry in front of the people and lose the competition. Given the circumstances, she is an amazing and divine pianist, and she deserved her trophy in the competition. It's not about the notes. It's about how she plays them.
It seems that the vulgar performance is in fashion.
