Yeah I love Basketball! Whoever plays it, but that was not a "circus buzzer beater" it was mearly a "nice fade away" as sovercplusv so properly put it! What the WNBA needs to do is let players play, show emotions, be themselves! Lisa leslie being embarrassed about the fight in Detroit on 7/23 tried to say women athletes should be role models, while in reality real role models don't compromise themselves to fit an image.
thats my problem with the wnba. way the announcers and proponents of the league exaggerate the skill/difficulty of just about every play is just annoying. i guess they do it to try to increase interest & excitement but i think it is counterproductive. if the announcers just called this a "nice fade away" i would think, "yea, that was a nice fade away." instead i'm left wondering how bad the play in general must be for things like this or a basic left hand layup to be "spectacular" in comparison.
i went to High school with crystal, Haughton Louisiana. I'm happy for her most def.
