  • grabbed mine for 30$ im gifting it out for xmas, ppl seem to love them and think theyre very thoughtful with the whole rescue thing

  • LED Flashlight: 5-lumen lamp lights the way with approximately 10 hours of runtime (batteries included and installed)

^^^Houdini Auto Escape Tool. Not sure about the Pro version.

  • is this better then the victorinox rescue tool?

  • @kirklanddavis

    For clothes, yes

for other things, not really.. this one is more of a rescure tool the other is more of a multi-tool

  • Have u tested it to see if it cuts good or the glass breaker works? I have a seat belt cutter on a cheap pocket knife i got and i tried the seat belt cutter at the junk yard and it worked great. The handle has a glass breaker on it but u have to swing hard to break glass.

  • Not yet, but we were thinking the same thing about testing them (junk yard)

  • Do you own/ have you tried the key chain model of this tool? Looking for something like this for my wife key chain. She will never carry something this big with her. But I see on the benchmade website they have a key chain model of this. I have been unable to find a review of it.

  • not yet but stay tuned, we'll be sure to get one for you soon

  • I'M sure you will you guys are always dead on about that kind of stuff I'M not worried lol. I think your channel's are one of the best things on youtube I watch all of them. What's great is anytime I get a idea in my head to get a new piece of gear I check youtube and 97% of the time one of your channel's has already done a review on it or has one in the works. What's even better is you respond to all valued comments and alone is 6 stars in my book. Keep up the Awesome work cant wait for more.

  • wow, thanks..

  • Great review! This is an awesome tool. I have one in black.

  • do you keep it with your gear or in the car?

I first thought of keeping it in a trauma kit, but now I'm thinking it might be better in the glove box

  • Not sure how the other guy deploys it - my 2 cents here. Get 2 -- 1 for your gear as you suggest, and the other gorrilla glue the sheath to the center console pointing towards the engine between the drivers seat and the console. This insures if in an accident and either trapped under water or the seat-belt wont release or both the tool will be within reach and safe and secure for both passenger and driver to gain access - as always there will be a driver is why you place it here. Good vid.

  • good idea for one in reach of the driver

I wonder if car companies would team up and install something like this right away in the dash / door or something

  • I believe a few INDIVIDUALS within the safety and emergency service departments had discussed it, but like most things it fell in the cracks and consumers moved into newer safer vehicles. Even though there are newer systems in vehicles this is a definite tool in my opinion for every vehicle regardless of role. BUT as we live in the real world it aint gonna happen, Soldier on and continue teaching others and maybe just maybe a few lives will be saved. God Bless.

  • I couldn't tell if there was a lanyard hole but If not one do they offer one with a lanyard hole? A long lanyard can help avoid loosing or rather dropping the tool in the vehicle in an emergency. 2 cents is all i have much love.

  • No lanyard, which is lame IMO too

  • from what you can see or rather tell form the design are there any areas that might be able to be dremeled or drilled out for a lanyard or is it a full tool with no dead spots?

  • Good idea, for that I will have to look again

  • Is it made in America?

  • sadly no.. but it is Benchmade.. so at least a USA company gets the profits from it

  • great video ^^
