  • THIS VIDEO IS BLASPHEMY. SHAH RUKH KHAN IS A MUSLIM AND MUSLIMS KILLED ALL BUDDHISTS. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? PLEASE TAKE IT DOWN AND ONLY PUT IMAGES OF BUDDHISTS. THERE ARE MANY HOLLYWOOD CELEBRITIES WHO ARE BUDDHIST, BUT NOT SRK FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

  • Oxford University Has Published A Book "THE MAKERS OF THE UNIVERSE", In Which They Have Enlisted 100 People Who Gave Remarkable Contribution To The World Over The Period Of 10,000 Years, Which Is Admired By The Entire UNIVERSE. In this List 1st Name Is "GAUTAM BUDDHA" & 4th Is "Dr. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR" For Their Principle Of SAMATA Which Is The Universal Solution For todays Burning World....

    Namo Buddha! Jai Bhim!!

  • why this video was mixed with other than Buddhists? its not good a good video ...hymn is good..it should be mixed with monks or buddhist places...

  • almost none of the people shown in this video are bouddhists!!! Sharuk Khan is a muslin Aischarya RAi is a hindu etc!!!

  • @thilakgunasinghe That bothers you?

  • Don't misunderstand about me>I told Sinhalse people are Protected Buddhisum in South Asisa.Even India,Pakistan and Bangaladesh coudn't sevivie buddhusum/that we have to proud last 2600.......................Even Jayamangala gatha using many occean in sri lanka.Fiist you learn History better for you.........Indo-Ariyan in Sri lanaka.

  • @gayan777 Thanks. It is very interesting history.

  • The pictures associated with the stanzas are not appropriated at all. It is a total disrespect and deliberate insult.

  • @lumalive Apologies for the capitals, but my earlier comments answered this: THIS AN ABSTRACT OF WORLDLY SENSATIONS. BEAUTIFUL RICH FAMOUS PEOPLE and the ORDINARY POOR PEOPLE. INDIA THE BIRTHPLACE OF BUDDHA. IF BUDDHISM HAD CONTINUED HOW WOULD INDIA BE TODAY? FASHION, LOVE, MARRIAGE, EQUALITY OF THE GENDERS, RICH, POOR, OLD, NEW, FILM, ART, ETC. OUR MINDS AFFECT THE WORLD WE LIVE IN. WORLDLY REALITY TO THE TUNE OF A POWERFUL BUDDHIST SUTRA seems very appropriate!

  • instead of showing all the pictures, wouldn't it will be better to translate this chanting from Pali to English so every1 who view this will have better understanding of the meaning from this Gatha.

  • helo, chanting is good but the video pics are not appropriate to Buddhist culture.pls. not to present such videos n they damage the Buddha Dhamma a pious way of life of mankind...Buddham Saranam Gacchami...

  • Thank you for your passion in commenting here. But anyone and everyone can honor the Buddha dharma in anyway they want. You do not get to determine what spirituality is for others. The mind of Gautum Buddha, would realize your comments come from ignorance and delusion to worldly attachments & notions. Buddhism has been assimilated in cultures around the world, each changing it to its liking.

  • @Shilpusuresh haha, don't forget purifying the mind from greed, lust and worldly desires is what monks do =)

  • @Shilpusuresh

You are right in your thought. But u can't honor the dhamma with this video. If it is the Dhamma & spirituality u want to honour, u should use a little time to find appropriate pictures. Your pictures are really nice, but they seem to be really out of place for the message in the chanting. Also use time to find Indians chanting this, b'cos it's not Indians chanting in your video. So everything seems to be wrong. Indians listen to this daily, so u can find it easily. Peace, bro.

  • @VivaLanka Thanks Viva Lanka for all your comments. I will have to reread them again. You make some really good points. Yes, the pictures don't go with the video. I think that is true in most of my spiritual slide shows. See next comment for what I really meant to do with this video

  • This is not Dis or Indian..!! Not Sri Lanka even, Background music is Thailand, monk voice could be Thailand or east asia.

  • Nakorn 24 knows it all ask him... he jacks off with two fingers.... and a dildo in his mouth at the same time... lol.. he can explain all about religions and cultures for you...

  • This is a beautiful depiction of the Jayamangala Gatha, but although the language chanted is Pali, the accent with which it is recited is not by Desis (Indians). The accent is very clearly either Thai or Cambodian. My parents are Sri Lankan Buddhists, and I travel to Thailand often, so the Thai accent is quite distinct. Again, though, this is beautiful

  • Thanks and you're right it is Thai. Good observation

  • your welcome shilpusuresh... i am laotion and thai and i practice a lot of buddhism...

  • this is fully owned by theravada buddhism... very popular in thailand, laos, and cambodia... also... these are thai monks chanting... this is pure theravada buddhism, not just only srilanka..

  • thanks bukthuy for your response. ofcourse as I said to the other two people who commented on this video, no one owns Buddhism or its sutras which come from India over 2500 years ago. but it was good to point out to the sri lanka fundamentalists that buddhism is practiced everywhere in the world as Gautam Siddhartha the Buddha who taught the philosophy wanted it to be. Sadhu

  • funny how these 3 countries follow buddhism but yet still hate hate for each other and gossip about each other and tlak shit about each other and kill and steal and lie and drink whine and beer and have to many wives. thats so not buddhism.

  • Which three countries? The people in this video are mostly Indian and in India most people practice Hinduism, not Buddhism, so I do not understand your comment

  • i wasntr talking about india i was talking to the lao kid bukthuy

  • Thanks Nakorn, I didnt mean it as an argument. You can talk about India, I don't mind. We have enough problems. But I didnt understand which 3 countries you meant and also about having many wives. Do they do that a lot in Buddhist countries? Please let me know because I haven't come across this. I appreciate your comments and responses very much. Thank you

  • of course laos thailand cambodia china japanese all the same. if your rich u have more then 1 wives. its the poor guys that cant seem to get laid hehehe

  • You are so funny Nakorn 24. Thanks for the info, I really didnt know that Buddhist cultures allowed more than one wife. Is that legal and sanctioned by their countries. I know in America it is not legal to have more than one wife. As for getting laid, marriage doesnt naturally result in sex. They pay and pay and pay for the cow and the poor saps are probably lucky if they get a little milk once in a while ;-)

  • no buddhist religion is actually against a lot of wives. but people do it anyway just like dirnking smoking gossiping about people are all bad but people sitll do it. buddhist religion is just a cover up for thier stupidity. and i think its more in the culture then religion...the culture allow a lot of wives not the religion.

  • you act like we are the only three countries that do that. its the politics.!and why the fuck you trying to talk shit about peoples culture?the guys with more than one wife is called a pimp, so leave the pimps alone, dont talk shit because you cant get laid. and if you so fuckin perfect, you wouldnt be talkin shit in the first place, so suck on a fat dick.every culture is different thats just the way it is. for example i got laid at the bar last week, and had your mom last night.both different.

  • Buddhist are'nt allowed to have sex,nor be in a room alone with a woman only if a another person is present,& they could only talk for a few minutes,& their not allowed to look below their waist, the elder monks don't look at people period. When you talk to them they NEVER make eye contack. Nakorm24 is a MORON at it's finest. Straight Idiot. Having lots of wives has nothing to do with Buddhism.

  • @Shilpusuresh

Buddhism does not restrict or impose any rules and regulations when it comes to marriage, which is a lay institution. Unlike the Hindu strict rules, they don't have many restrictions in Buddhism. Marriage is regarded as entirely a personal, individual affair and not as a religious sacrement ordained in heaven. There are no religious laws in Buddhism as regards to chastity, monogamy etc. but the Buddha advices to refrain from adultery.

  • sadhu...sadhu...sadhu...

  • This is JAYAMANGALA GATH.very popular In SRI LANKA. those pictures not related at all to this clip.you are misleading people. you can show indian culture indian wemen on other clip. not on this. this is pure SRI LANKAN JAYAMANGALA GATHA

  • I never knew Sri Lanka Buddhism was so fundamentalist in its views. All the Sri Lanka monks I have known seem so nice. Anyway, this is an ancient Buddhist chant from India and its appropriate to put modern men and women of India in the light of the meditative victory of this blessing. Try to open your mind so you can appreciate other ways of thinking and doing things. Thanks

  • nooooooo THIS IS FULLY OWN BY SRI LANKAN BUDDHISUM,JAYAMANGALA GATHA VERY POPULAR FROM SRI LANKAN SINHALEESE SOCIETY FOR OUSPISIS TIMES.

  • Owned. This is an ancient chant from 2500 years ago from India. Its thanks to India that the world has Buddhism at all after all remember the Buddha was born in India. No one owns Buddhism, especially since one of the main tenets is to be free from owning and attachment. But that is cute anyway.

  • @Shilpusuresh,

I think u didn't understand his point. What he is trying to say is that this song is from Sri Lanka, & I think he too didn't like the pics associated with the song :) . Some things are sacred for some people. Although Buddhism originated in India, SL has been a home for Buddhism from ancient times. Most of the Theravada & Pali works are from SL. Northern Buddhism use mostly Sanskrit. This gatha is very special for the SL Buddhists - it is sung at all special occations. Peace!

  • @VivaLanka & @ALL (using caps for visibility, SORRY) THIS AN ABSTRACT OF WORLDLY SENSATIONS. WORLDLY REALITY TO THE TUNE OF A POWERFUL BUDDHIST SUTRA, TO THINK OF VICTORY OVER WORLDLY DESIRES, ATTACHMENTS, IDEALS! IS THAT FAIR?

  • @gayan777

Nobody owns this gatha, you idiot. It was written by a devote Sinhalese Buddhist, to honour the Lord Buddha & to teach and educate other people, and it has served its purpose. You should be happy and proud that people all over the world sing it. Ofcourse this video kills the message in the gatha, with the bad choice of pictures, but you should not tell that Sri Lankans own the gatha. That too kills the spirit in which it was written. Learn to express yourself in English.

    Peace.

  • Sadhu!Sadhu!Sadhu!

  • Very beautiful photos too. Hope you get some rest, my friend.

    With Love and Compassion,

    Jendhamuni

  • I like you Jendhamuni. You have the mind of a true Buddha! Good fortune with protection and victory to you always.

    Love Shilpu

  • Maha Jayamangala Gatha Paritta (Great Verses of Joyous Victory!) My favorite Chanting!

Thanks so much. I listen to this chanting almost everynight.

May Peace and Happiness be with you every day and night.
