I im currrently learning dynamite and hypervoxels in lightwave. Your work is excellent. I was just wondering how many emmiters? and what did you use for the sparks, and smoke? I study alot of scene files recently, and i was really curious how your set up works.
@caveman357 One emitter for fire, one for smoke, one for sparks. Fire is volume, smoke and sparks are sprites. You might search 'Flamethrower' on the Newtek forums for tips. But I suggest using the Turbulence 4D plugin instead of PFX and voxels which are not ideal for FX.
@caveman357 Thanks for the reply! i am headed straight to school right now. Im gonna ask my professor about the Turbulence 4D plug in. Im sure that he will Yell at me to master dynamite first. By the way....why would you say PFX and voxels are not ideal for fx? Thanks again!
Great lightwave stuff! Did you do THROW's character animation too? It's MOCAP, yes? no? Really liked your favorites too - EBN and Hausu. So where are you headed w. all this animation talent?? Movies? Commercials? Art? Other?. FYI - if you or anyone else needs digital versions of SPLIT, i have them now. chris
@shortshow Yes i keyframed the character animation by 'matchmoving' to actual footage, from Vertov's 1929 "Man with a Movie Camera" (search YT "Cinematic Orchestra Man w/ the Movie Camera 6a"... at 3:40). I've been doing vfx for movies and tv since '96, (old demo & other examples in my channel). Would luv a better version of Split. I st came across while managing video stores in the 80s. Was searching YT for a suitable trailer/clip to introduce friends & hopefully hook into wanting to see.
