I'm not crazy about Garcia's vocals, but I don't hate them either. I've always been a sucker for early 90's nostalgia, his vocals just have that vibe. But I've always been into Kyuss for the riffs, that's what their main appeal is.

Kyuss was really heavy! This super fuzzy guitar, super bassy bass set a trend.

This is my first taste of Kyuss after hearing about them for so long. I'll probably piss off a lot of people, but I don't like the vocals. At all.  You got this badass, bassy, fuzzy, wall of sound, and then these 80's sounding vocals come in. It sounds misplaced and doesn't really work for me. Musically, it kicks ass, and I could see why they developed such a following.

Personally I think Garcia's voice is just perfect for this, it just fits.

@RegularJohnny Lanegan, maybe... dulli.....? not toooo sure about dulli, though, but definitely lanegan. oliveiri's voice is one of the most unique i've heard, he'd sound pretty good.

@PernellSaadMorales The bias of other artists has caused you to eliminate an entire sound (80s metal singer). Absolutism can always be proven to be mathematically false. There are always exceptions. Digest Kyuss, see beyond your bias, and Garcia will give you all of Kyuss.

To the bombast that is Kyuss, the vocals were always treated as subservient in the mix. Get off the visuals, put the ear phones on.
