this is awesome! ive just got a boss gt-10 and was wondering if when youve set up a loop can you stop it then start it again? cause i cant seem to find the information any where? :)
aha dudde this is amazing!! as my name suggests, i have a white ibanez. lol the wierd thing is its and RG350DX like urs. i have been thinking about buying a GT-10 and u have jus made my mind up for me! its abeautiful piece of kit. XD
Since I'm not much of a big understander in pedals and all the relative equipment Im gonna ask: Can you use effects for the acoustic guitar here? And can you amplify it with an electric guitar amp?
@SstalkerS ofcourse you can! Check out Jack Conte on Youtube, he loves to spice up the acoustic with effects. I can amplify my acoustic because its a semi acoustic, which means that it has amplifying capabilities due to a built in mic. A lot of people choose just to mic up their acoustics with an SM-58 or something similar though and that works just as well. Hope this helps, Fraser
@carnwath admittedly as stated in the description this is my least favourite video of mine, however perhaps you should see some of my other videos before making judgements, i have progressed a great deal in my opinion. certainly enough to justify being able to post a video
@carnwath yea i forgot its your opinion and only yours that matters. How dare he put this up, knowing you werent going to like it. What a selfish prick. Its lacking talent dont get me wrong, but im sure you do to standing beside other guitarist. Nice vid kid, you showed off the effects with sounds that didnt make me want to shoot myself.
i would buy this, and some kind of recording device like a 4-track (i like the way music sounds on tape, lo-fi) then the 30 second loop wouldn't be a problem.
Of coarse the gt-10 is never going to stack up with the real thing, But I see it as a very cheap alternative to those who want everything an all in one, you could buy a phasor, wah wah pedal chorus, tube screamer, delay and equiliser pedals and you would have already spent more money then a gt-10 would ever cost and thats not even looking at the pre-amps, a fender deluxe would cost more then the gt-10 and the gt-10's got stacks of pre-amps and the looper well thats like $150 in its own right.
yeah i agree with the too much going on comment there, but i was really trying to display how capable the loop is, and how many different levels you can layer ontop of one another. A truly great loop station!
- Use less reverb, your tone has too much, also put a bit more mid to it
- Don't look licks so much, and build evolutionary rhythm. Your songs will become repetitive fast, you can either build minimalistically, in layers, which is what you seem to do now, or include variations and several sections, which is what guitarists do ideally.
You can, you need a usb to usb and plug it into your computer, you need to follow the manual that comes with the board. It explains how to do it.
However that being said, i couldn't do it, and you also need to have some kind of recording software like Cubase SX3 or something, i think Boss suggest you use a piece of software called 'Cakewalk'.
Hope that helped man, if you figure out how, let me know how!!!
It's actually just recorded straight through with the Camcorder.
I've tried connecting it to the computer but it doesn't seem to work. I've got Cubase SX3 and also the 'Cakewalk' software which is reccommended for the Boss, but i just can't seem to get it to work!
Hi, try using the advanced Boss USB driver, set your USB connection to Advanced in the GT-10 setup (see manual). Choose ASIO driver in your software and if everything is ok, you should be able to choose the GT-10 and be able to record. Very nice song btw!
HELP:
Should I get the Me-70 or GT-10
Thank You!

Head up ! You are very young and this is very sympatic. Don't listen to jerks who wrote that they don't like it. Go on ! hehe....i like this !
P.S. too many repeats...reduce it, 'cause your first rhytm theme is great !

Yeah there appears to be a very mixed bag of responses for this video! I definitely agree though, it really does drag on! Cheers x

This comment has received too many negative votes show
its far too early for you to start posting on you tube , take more time to learn the instrument before farting about with effects

what effect are you using when you started using the electric guitar in the video?
USASF160 2 years ago
Its a variation of the "Vaio Guitar" effect, with the 'slow gear' taken off and added compression... i think
surfingers 2 years ago
I liked it, a demo is a demo. The distant vamping creates a u2-like effect.

How can you avoid repetition with a 30 second loop?

chords are stolen from "no such thing" by john mayer:-) at least the biggest part...just changed a bit. But sounds not bad at all!
Gitarrendhans 2 years ago 2
what type of chords are you playing at the beggining?
DennIsC00L 2 years ago
heya the chord sequence is:
Emaj9 (with open E)
Then a cool inversion of Amaj9 (with descending diatonic passing chords down in the major scale)
Then simple Cmin7
Down to open position Emaj
Back up to Emaj9
Hope that helps man

I love this track - you play very well. Your choice of open chording sounds fantastic. Keep rockin out. You're on your way!

You have great playing skills and coordination. I'm a fan and you ROCK! Love the other videos as well.

Thanks for the ideas mate,
i agree with you about repetitiveness, however, this is like the first day i'd got the boss GT-10
:D
Anyhoo, as for tone, i've totally changed it now, now into bluesy crunchy tones,
But thanks man
Will take on board
surfingers 3 years ago
awesome, and it doesn't compromise your tone at all? That is awesome, and the les paul is just sweet isn't it!
I'm hoping to be getting an Andy Summers tele, need to save up a bit of cash first though!
oh well,
keep playing!
