the tower is said to be scrapped already because of its location near NAIA,, some said that the height would be reduce to 300m or almost 1/2 of the original one.
The problem is based on a World Bank consultant study, there is danger in building high rise buildings near Manila Bay, because it sinks 1 inch every year. They were even against the reclamation at PICC, etc.. In 100 years it will be under the sea, under the sea, like the song. I miss the old Nayong Pilipino, a showcase of the interesting places in the Philippines, done by Madam Imelda Marcos. She also did the nice fountain in Luneta, that was not maintained when they left.

it seems like our country is focusing way too much of its budget on projects like this and way too few for the modernization of our armed forces. we shouldnt build incredible projects like these when our country is still not protected from outside threats. i say our gov. should wait until our defense is improved and our armed forces are modernized before they build the pagcor. its just common sense to secure our territories 1st b4 we build anything like this project on it.
our country is just only focusing on projects that can maximize investor potential. the government is currently solving internal threats first and external threats will be afterwards.

this project is not funded by the goverment. Investor coming from different part of the world invest this project, only the govertment think to the idea.
For me this is the best way to have our goverment fund for the modernization of the AFP, besides your worries about war is impossible due to the different organizations that it's countries all over the world have.

The problem is based on a World Bank consultant study, there is danger in building high rise buildings near Manila Bay, because it sinks 1 inch every year. They were even against the reclamation at PICC, etc.. In 100 years it will be under the sea, under the sea, like the song. I miss the old Nayong Pilipino, a showcase of the interesting places in the Philippines, done by Madam Imelda Marcos. She also did the nice fountain in Luneta, that was not maintained when they left.

Malapit ang PAGCOR Tower at Manila Eye sa NAIA kaya medyo nagkakaroon ng conflict between PAGCOR & CAAP.Pero pwede nilang i-closed ang NAIA and open DMIA (Pampanga) and maglagay na lang sila ng bullet train or kung maaari, MAGLEV Train. Habang nagbabiyahe papuntang Manila pwede pang makita ng mga tourists ang skyline ng Taguig at Makati. Ano ang gagawin sa NAIA kung iko-close? Pwede siya gawing Train Station if ever magtayo ng bullet train or MAGLEV. Thanks. Sana makarating to sa PAGCOR or CAAP.

@21hotjoy yes ! i'm from manila, yet i love mindanao...been to oroquieta, ozamis, dapitan, iligan, davao etc.....and i'm looking forward to getting back and visit zamboanga, gen san and the rest. I love the mindanaoans for being so gracious, laid back, and cheerful. People in manila should try stepping to this gorgeous island as a primer to boosting local tourism.

@jbartzce wala akong tutol sa paghinto ng proyekto na ito kung hangan para sa pag papatatag ng ating hukbong sandatan. ngunit kung hininto nila ang proyekto na ito dahil sa kanilang katimawaan talagang nakakainis. alam mo ba kung ano tutuong dahilan? meron iba nag sasabi na para daw sa hukbong sandatahan kaya nila hininto ang proyekto ngunit hindi ko alam kung saan nila na dinig yun.

Philippines needs a landmark, like there's statue of liberty in new york, effeil tower in paris, the big ben clock in london, and the opera house in sydney australia.. These are the famous landmark that represents the city and country to show the world.. It also attract tourist which will take a big part of economy.. it surely a perfect postcard.

it seems like our country is focusing way too much of its budget on projects like this and way too few for the modernization of our armed forces. we shouldnt build incredible projects like these when our country is still not protected from outside threats. i say our gov. should wait until our defense is improved and our armed forces are modernized before they build the pagcor. its just common sense to secure our territories 1st b4 we build anything like this project on it.

i think you're wrong. the government must fist prioritize on infrastructures before the military. because infrastructures will pour investments and tourism resulting to revenues for the country, thus that revenues will go to the military spending for the modernization.. now do you understand? and the government won't spend any single cent for the tower, it's all private investors that will spend..=)

this project is not funded by the goverment. Investor coming from different part of the world invest this project, only the govertment think to the idea.
For me this is the best way to have our goverment fund for the modernization of the AFP, besides your worries about war is impossible due to the different organizations that it's countries all over the world have.
