I don't agree the video is good quality. Quality is not only resolution and fps. It's also about bit-stream and quality of encoder.
In this fast moving example video you can pause nearly any frame and watch big ugly squares reducing substantially the overall quality.
As the uploader says in the video is not bad for a mobile phone, but I feel sad just thinking that people sit and think I have an HD video recording capability in my phone... this might be 720, but it's not High (Quality) Definition
@djwavepad420 Fill the intent of the comment. A crappy 720p video with a crappy 160 KB/s bitrate (its an example, I'm not saying your video has that quality) would be called HD by companies but I don't think it should.
@djwavepad420 I think what he's trying to say is it's HD 720p video shot through a mediocre lens hence the not so high quality HD! And I would agree totally, although this is good quality for a mobile phone I really wouldnt consider this HD, I can resize any video to 1280x720 but that just makes it SD video played back at an HD size. The HTC Desire after android 2.2 update is HD but the quality of that is not up to scratch for HD either IMO!
@djwavepad420 What I am trying to say is just because a video on youtube says HD doesnt mean it is. Resizing a video to 1280x720 then uploading it to youtube will give u the option to play it back in HD, which is not really HD. But as for these phones, they are real HD due to the fact that the camera is capturing the video at 1280x720 and therefor not up scaling it to an HD size. The biggest letdown with these cameras is the fact that theyre 5mp, if they were like 8 - 10mp the HD would be better
