That's hard to say... The user interface, probably. Between lots of options for map scrolling, controlling and selecting units, much larger visual area and much larger map size, I think that would have to be it. But you should give it a try and see what you think. :) There are mercs, new units/buildings, etc...

When I am finished, the greatest improvement will probably be multiplayer.

A 3d version would look more "modern". My game is intended to resemble the original as much as feasible.

What's the greatest improvements have you made in comparison with the original Dune II?

I wonder how a 3D version of Dune would look like, or a version with a more comprehensive tech tree, and more varied gameplay.
