I remember a time when Rise was a decent commentator, but often neglected or dismissed certain aspects of the game, such as statistics. Recently, the quality and comprehensiveness of his commentary has vastly improved, most notably with the inclusion of statistical background of players, context within which matches are played, and map previews. I don't know if this increased commitment to commentary is related in part to recent unemployment, but whatever the cause, the result has been enjoyable

Just a general question, why do players always siege up when being attacked by scvs? It seems like the splash kills more tanks than it's worth. This time he had tanks outside the base shelling too so might have been more worth it but in general it doesn't seem to be... anyone know why?

Strategic and tactical differences were the difference in this match. One went for contain/expand, the other focused on superior army concentration and mobility.

I think rise did explain it: winner had air superiority and possibly slightly better macro, loser was overextended. Watch Klazart's classic "oedipus" commentary of Flash vs Boxer of a long time ago: "Air superiority is key!"
