TY for your kind words, can you give me a recommendation on a new mic. I presently play on a cheap logitech microphone from some years ago. Id love to invest in better equipment.
O yes, because all great trumpet players are judged on how well they copied the hand position out of the methods book, and not the sound out of the bell.
I liked it, but I would slow the tempo down overall and put some pauses, tempo changes, big dynamics to add more emotion. Especially the ending, do a bigger ritard and get really soft and fade out.
Omg another resident genius of the trumpet yet you have no videos of yourself playing any musical instruments on your homepage, how fascinating. "All great trumpet players are judged on how well they copied the hand position out of method books and not the sound they produce"?? can you please tell what method books you are referring to where they told you that your hand grip is more important than the sound you produce lmao.
i meant to be quoting the guy above you that said "watch your hand position" I was being sarcastic about the fact that someone would actually tell someone their hand position was wrong.
and on a side note, since when are people required to publish their lives on youtube. Just because I dont put videos of me playing my horn doesnt mean I have not been playing and performing for years.
Perhaps I was a little heavy handed with my comments directed towards you and I guess I failed to also see the humor and sarcasim directed at the other posters comments. The annoying thing I find about YouTube is that the majority if not all the negative and rude comments come from young people who are self proclaimed musicians or know it alls, however, they never have and videos of themselves playing a musical instrument, in other words they can only talk the talk but can't walk the walk Peace
So what you are telling me is that Al Hirt who is probably one of the all time great trumpet players who often played even one handed and Maynard Ferguson who used several grips throughout his career, you wouldn't care about the sound they produced on the trumpet but rather their proper hand grip lol
Nice job, sir.
