  • EMB-120's are great airplanes, PERIOD.

  • Everyone slams this bird, but having over 2000 hours in it, I can tell you it's a hell of an airplane.

  • @BrettVampire More like everyone slams any airplane powered by a prop. I love this plane; a charter airline flies it right out of here to Boston.

  • dude why dont you just drive 2 and a half hours to fresno. its probably cheaper. i drive there all the time, but i guess its easier now because gas is alot cheaper than it was back in the day.

  • i fuckin love this aircarft, would love to fly it anyday has such good instruments and embraer is definatly a company you can trust!

  • That thing looks and sounds like a pretty god damn rickety bolt bucket for a commercial aircraft. I guess thats what you get when you go to Fresno.

  • @cageo2207

It's called prop noise. And it's a helluva lot newer and nicer that most big jets you fly on. NW has some planes still flying from the mid 60's.

  • what airline

  • How far was Fresno

  • I guess if I could fly a plane, I'd perceive it to be better. The E120 is a very small cigar tube and the seats don't feel or look 18". And coming from a big boy, that's not a good thing. With the economy in the tank the last year, I've flown very little and haven't had a chance to fly in an E120 again. I did experience a q400 and that plane seemed like it handled the turbulence a lot worse than the E120. I did like the size and quietness of the plane though.

  • @mario9193 The Dash 8 series are known for not handling turbulence well. It is because the size and shape of the wing.

  • Well people don't like flying Embraer 120's or any other kind of turboprop for a couple of reasons. While a larger jet aircraft might smooth out better through turbulance like an oil tanker to a large swell, these are the rowboat equivlants and you can be expected to rock around a bit. While a larger A/C will feel more centralized and stable in flight, you'll feel more of the effects of banks and descent and ascent. I love the E120 personally. It's a really fun plane to fly and experience.

  • Actually it should read, "Arrogent jerk who thinks he should fly on a 747 Jumbo Jet to Fresno should really drive instead."

  • Thanks for the compliment, but I did drive from LA to Santa Maria to Fresno and back to LA. This was just cheaper. Arrogant? Right. Another word for it is narcissistic. Look that one up in your 8 word dictionary.

  • i have to fly on one of them in a couple of months...i hate flyin, are they really bad for people who hat eflyin???
