Okay, so, I know I'm late to this video, but I have to ask(And it may sound really stupid) But is the background to this video a reference to the wall in John Green's Basement? The green vertical stripes? If so, then I love the detail, if not, then, It is now :P

Love love love this video and love love love this quote.

The one thing that bothers me so much is the "unironically" is not a word. It wouldn't bother me normally, but I've quoted this in essays, and I feel like it could somehow make John sound not smart to someone who doesn't UNDERSTAND the way of the internet. Ya know?

Also, Word underlines it in red. So annoying.

But yes, this is beautiful and this quote sums me up so well. <3

Also, how did you get motion blur when moving the words? I can't figure out how to do it.

@pastronaut good eye! yeah, the background is directly inspired by John's wall.

Also, in After Effects, there's a little box you have to click to the right of the object in the composition tray. it's pretty simple, google "motion blur in after effects" for a better explanation than I could give.

@pastronaut ah, yeah. there's probably some roundabout way to do it in final cut, but in after effects it's remarkably simple. it's quite a fun program.
