Great actor, someone should tell the interviewer he wasn't just Luke Skywalker, the guy has done broadway and many films and TV along the way so the "Mark or Luke" thing is pretty disrespectful to him.
@musicforindies Yeah, his laugh was probably the only way he could stave off the desire to choke slam Ryan Stewart. He handled it well, but he's probably a seasoned veteran at that sort of thing by now. That must still be hard, though. Mark Hamill HAS played equally compelling and amazing roles and he should be recognized for it. I'd be tempted to call him "Commodore Blair" or "Joker"...preferrably from beyond arm's reach ;) and with a lot of apologizing afterward.
He's Wolverine, The Joker, Commodore Christopher 'Maverick' Blair and countless others I've temporarily forgotten... not just Luke Skywalker. Why hardly any filmmakers wanted to cast him after '83 I'll never know because he's a *brilliant* actor.
But with regards to Star Wars - I hope that, with the 20th anniversary of "Heir to the Empire", they do a radio dramatisation / animation of it and get as many of the movie cast to do the voices as possible.

Honestly with so many peope growing up with his face on everything we loved I can see it being a hard habit to break.Mark helped bring SciFi to the main stream. I read someplace he isn't happy about the fact the his rle as luke is one of if not THE thing hes remembered for. I like to think of it as him being the guy that brought our dreams alive a person we could relate to and look up to.
That guy interviewing Mark is being a douche by referring to him as "Luke". You do know that Mr. Hamill has done a lot more stuff since then, like being the voice of the Joker. I'm figuring if he were talking to Harrison Ford or Carrie Fisher, he would frequently acknowledge them as "Han and Leia". I guess that's one of the biggest draw backs to being involved in one of the biggest motion picture franchises of all time.
@982Munchie Seriously! Luke was so long ago. When i here about him all i see is the best fucking joker ever, goblin in spiderman, and a ton of more characters in awesome shows.
@982Munchie Yeah... agree but... he lives very well... better than you and me thanks of Luke Skywalker. Daniel Raidcliffe always will be Harry Potter and Robert Pattinson this nerd gay vampire. To do a movie like this has problems... you get a lot of fame and money but... people always will remember you for one thing... and you will have huge problems for work in others roles.
@982Munchie What? He played Luke Skywalker? I just thought he was the guy who played Kenny Dantley from Corvette Summer and Griff from The Big Red One.
He's no longer Luke Skywalker, he's THE JOKER

He is wearing his ROTJ Jedi tunic. I got that figure for christmas but one leg was bigger than the other and it leaned to one side. So disappointed.

He doesn't need a robot to help him pick a tv show, but he needs two to help him save the galaxy... (apologizes for bad joke)
It's kinda funny how different he looks...
As for playing on that "Luke" thing... he did that when he went on the Muppet Show... it's quite funny...

Mark Hamill should be legally permitted to slug anyone who refers to him as Luke Skywalker.
