Candle glasses are not appropriate for use as a drinking glass - they are too brittle & fragile for the wear and tear of regular cleaning which involves a lot of being knocked about and various temperatures. For the effort you went to you could have bought a proper drinking glass for next to no money at all.

Candles are useless when they run out of wax. Why not reuse the glass for something else?

The Drano contains a very strong chemical base (sodium hydroxide) as the main active ingredient. Coffee is a weak acid. So by adding the coffee, the drano was being slowly neutralised. If the cup still smells, try adding a more potent acid (but nothing too strong), such as vinegar or citrus fruit. Failing that, some of the Drano may not be very soluble in water (so it isn't washing away), but if you try something with a high alcohol content, you might have better luck.
Also, I've used a coffee machine for tea before, and I agree, normal people are weird, those are the kind of people that have a desk job and are never truly fulfilled with their lives. Weird people make the world interesting and I think its awesome, as I am one of them
