Setting the sides up would be no problem. Getting the roof on however you need just one other person to help. Our roof does not have a solid center ring with stationary joists which is why we need the cross beams for support. This is what makes our design so portable! The roof joists can swivel on the metal ring - therefore they can collapse down like an umbrella top. We need one person to hold the temporary center pole while the other person places rafter ends on the guide wire.
nice video. i was wondering though, is it possible for one person to set up a yurt by them self or do you need another person's help? this looks like it would be pretty difficult for one person to do it alone. but still it does look relatively easy to put up and it looks portable which is what im looking for :) thanks for uploading this. i was curious on how to do this.
