Three minutes and forty five seconds in, the commander says: "Your circuits dead, there's something wrong! Can you hear me Major Tom?" Tom doesn't answer back. Instead he continues saying what he has been. It can inferred earlier in the song, even, that Tom knows what's happening. "And I think my spaceship knows which way to go. Honestly there is no real reason for a space exploration right now. I'm glad we stopped, it was a waste of money. But. I do hope we pick it back up when we figure out a way to terraform planets or colonize them. Or transport minerals and such in a truly useable amount. Till then we don't really need to explore space unless there is a big reason. Like Aliens. :D

It was so low it felt like I could reach up and touch it.
