Don Kirshner executive produced this show and oversaw the music. Paul Schaefer(sp?) of Dave Letterman fame was musical director. Several of the Tokens and Ron Dante(the Archies) contributed songs to the album. Ron may have chipped in on backing vocals as well. I'm not sure who the lead vocalist was, if it was one of the actors or a studio singer. My copy of the album claims the track, "The Hurricane Song(Then It Hit Me)" was a "hit", but I'm not sure where!
hey guys I remember this I used to watch it every saturday morning it is a spin off from the monkees, they had only one hit song the hurricane song,,I have found a web sight that sells alot of old 70s shows, I have orded the kids from caper cd,,they have remasterd there album onto a cd,,dont know if you can get the show or not,,but they have captian marvel shows and others, any one want the web sight
This is probably the closest Monkee copy cat I've seen, & its 32 years old! Sure You had others that were similar, Buggaloos, Hudson Bros., even first season of Scooby Doo, kinda harks Monkee style. Now that the Beatles/Monkees hair style has come back again with teens & early 20 year old guys, someone should try and do a great knock off, the young people are into teen idols again these days and 60's/70's hair & fashion are back so why not give it a try.Get that kid from Drake & Josh to be in it
Thank you so much! And wouldn't luck have it that this was the episode that I had missed out of all of them so many years back!
P.S. There are some wriiten transcripts of C.A.P.E.R episodes over in the files section of the yahoo group "thecaperroom". Unfortunately, I don't think that this ep is one of them.
I am wondering if it was some sort of random deletion, as it make little sense as two why the first two parts are still up as well as the theme song and the vid for "When It Hit Me".

Funny stuff, the opening is very Monkeesesque, I'm sure Don Kirshner had something to with that!!

I beleive Don Kirshner DID have something to do with this. I wish that ALL the episodes would come out on DVD. I would be one of the first in line!!
