When they say that a square wave is a pure tone its very wrong. A square wave is the addition of harmonics. A square wave is in fact the most harmonically rich out of sine, triangle and the rest what you can choose from. I could go on :') (moogs as with all analog gear will also still had harmonics to the sine wave it wont be pure)...
