Most people are very uneducated as to what the labor movement is,was and the fundamentals when they were established. Many people do support the fundamentals of the labor movement and will defend them if the union is being treated unjustly. That being said TWU is not one of those unions that is being treated unfairly, dealing with unsafe hazardous working conditions etc. This country in its entiry is pulling out of an economic crises.

It's difficult for me to have sympathy for the transit union or their workers. I have to start a new job on Monday after being laid off for seven months, and now I have to walk to work, an hour each way. Everyone I know is either laid off or working without annual raises, benefit cuts, etc. SEPTA is not special. Willie Brown is a fat ugly greedy bastard.

On a side note I saw a NY daily news article that said "Congrats Phillies fan on World Series Game 5 win. Now walk to work!" So not only did NY fans end up seeing the Yankees win the world series, but even THEY heard about the strike.

Truck driving school will only allow for your income to go but so high.
