Besides...Boxers LOVE to vocalize...to let you know what's about. This pup apparently heard something that he felt he needed to let somebody know about. It didn't hurt his ears..he heard and wanted to communicate to his owners that he hears something. Just the way Boxers are...they are NOT a quiet breed.

I can't tell if my 3 month old white boxer is deaf or not. When he snoozes...well, he's like Daddy, a Nuke could go off and we could care less, while awake, I see his ears move to different sounds..but if I call him, he doesn't exactly come. Maybe because he is so headstrong..he just doesn't listen yet. Boxer ARE the bomb though and have such great personalities.

thanks for all the kind comments. Bentley has grown into a amazing specimen. He and his sister Mia(not by blood), have given my wife and I so much joy and happiness. Pure muscle through and through.  We have not damaged his hearing, or busted any eardrums, so lightened up people. Both Bentley's mother and father were flashy fawns, his grandfather was grand champion Boxer at Westminster. His mother whelped many champions as well.

He's still a great guard, he's very alert,

he can even sense when I come home late at night in complete darkness.

He's also got a great build,

That's actually a common misconception, there are actually so studies that show that white boxers are more sickly and there are generally up to 3-4 white boxers in each litter. The best way to test a dogs deafness is too stand behind the pup with two saucepans and bang them togther, thats what most breeders do and also the vets do the same thing.. gorgeous pup, we are getting our white boxer today and i cant wait! lol

i do know about my breed and what i do know is that white boxers make up as much as 20%of all pups born only around 9% are deaf. its the same with all white breeds but it also happens in colored dogs its just the stigma that surrounds white dogs
