@ResistanceGuy There are 10 you can pick from at the start, but you can develop your character however you want from there. For instance you could start off as a mage but end up as a greataxe-wielding tank. It's all up to you and your playstyle.

Skyrim is a open world RPG that allows players to go on an adventure or make one with a mod

Dark souls is a test to the hard core where winning a boss battle make you feel good about yourself

both games give a compleatly diffrent exsperince and there both epic

@dHeavyEchob You know what I think? The biggest difference between the two is how you play it. Skyrim is all based on stats, if you dont level up you get no where. However, on dark souls, you have to have real skill, where stats only make things easier. You could make it through the whole game at soul level one, but only if you're good enough. Whereas skyrim, everything is stat based, and you're just mashing the attacks to level up.

Sure it looks very nice, but the performance of this engine is just terrible.

Once you enter Blighttown in Dark Souls get ready to be chugging at a steady 10 fps most of the time.

I absolutely love this game, but I think even the hardcore fanboys that would defend this game to their graves can agree with me that there is a lot to be desired in terms of optimizations in this engine. I really hope From hire some better programmers.

@nelsoncarmo26 That is actually a boss that really impressed me. It was fun, looked awesome and he can still be an ass if you don't know what to do. But the most interesting thing is that they developed the wolf so at 5-10% health left he will start limping, be much slower and really desperate. You know you beat him, but you also know he will keep on fighting till the end... Kinda leaves you with a bad feeling to finish him off. Genious idea.
