Fantastic to see the real dress. Wish this was longer. Visited Kensington in 2004 on Victoria Day. We had lunch in the "Orangerie" and toasted Victoria. Amazingly feisty and assertive considering the age she lived in and her upbringing. Great love story, too.

I would love to see more! Victoria's parents entered a mutually agreed upon arranged marriage specifically in hopes of giving birth to the heir to the throne. They met on their wedding day. It appears they actually liked each other a great deal. Victoria's mother was German and was never trusted or accepted and without a husband to protect her from his family, since he died when Victoria was an infant. I suppose she has her side of the story. Thanks for a great post!

I really like the movie. the mother did annoy me in the movie but she was the only heir left to the throne so I can understand why she was over protective. since no one in the family tree had children. she was protecting her "investment"
