I believe this is being made into a cg film! Anyway, one of the BEST from the 80's! Man, I loved being an 80's kid, we had the BEST cartoons and toys!
Is it Ace alone who always says "G-Force transform"? does Durke or any other of the other 3 get featured saying the phrase? And I maybe I am abt to be technical but I realize the when G1 said the phrase his plane transformed too. Is there any site I can go to read about G-Force, their abilities and what knot?
From what I have seen I prefer G-Force to the others. The intro(music) is not crappy as others think (well they are entitled to their opinions). The upbeat tempo is very nice- for the lack of a better word.
@tru2daflu Oh yeah, and too bad they can't actually call the movie "G-Force!" Unfortunately, Disney saw fit to take the name, and attach it to a movie with s"pecially trained" gerbils......such foolishness, lol!
im so happy to have found these on youtube! i just gave it a try and here they are...thanks super adventure for posting this for the true fans!! i hate that this is being made into a live action film...is it going to be american or japanese...if its american then i dont want to see it; were just going to mess it up...if anyone is going to make it, let the japanese do it...i wouldnt want the japanese making a superman movie!!! i love speed racer and saw what we did to that story.
Really!? When did you hear them making this into a live action film? I would love to see that. I use to watch these shows way back in the early 80's every morining before I went to school. I loved these shows. I think the U.S would do great job making this into a film. The Japanese just don't have the reputation for making great films. Just my opinion....
i work at disney in animation and i was tellng my friends about how i was surfing on youtube and found the old episodes of "g-force". i didnt know that it was called "battle of the planets" and originally "gatchaman" in japan. japans is more serious than the american version i was telling them; death, cussing, jun is getting "b-slapped" by ken or joe! thats when they told me that there was going to be a live action film coming out! we all started complaining about how it will turn out...
Yeah, I see what you mean. I've never seen the japaniese version. When they make this, I would like the live action film on to be more adult oriented. It would suck if they bubblegum it to PG rating status.
Wow!!!! I am blown away!!! I was just trying to remember the name of this of show last week when talking to a friend. Cartoons these days can not compare considering what can be done with special effects in the movies. Does anyone remember (about the same time) The cartoon that took place in space with the battle ships (that were space ships) but looked like battle ships on the ocean? Sorry not to sound gay but banging my head to remember (or was it all a dream....)
hey I have an idea, let force a re-inflation of that bubble by borrowing money from future generations, locking them into a cycle of debt slavery long before they are even born!!
which is the episode where agatha june gets caught in that garden where there is that flower thingy while there is a fire going on? i remember that was the last episode i saw 14 years ago and never saw what happened after that. i would like to see what happened to her......
That was a two-parter: Episode 39 ("The Monster Plants") and Episode 40 ("Those Fatal Flowers"). Try searching for Gatchaman Episodes 39 & 40 here on YouTube, they should be available either in sub or English (a different version from this G-Force version that is). The plot between "Gatchaman" and "G-Force" is more or less identical save for different names and voices.
Unfortunately, with the exception of episodes 18 ("The Whale Submarine") and 87 ("Galactor's Deadly Trap") which are "pilot" episodes with more of a variation in music, yes this synthesized backbeat plays in the background of all 85 episodes of "G-Force".
It's purpose was to fill in silent, music-less gaps from the original Japanese version's (Gatchaman) soundtrack. The producers intended to include more music for this purpose, but (believe it or not) could only afford this ONE TUNE.
This is without a shadow of the doubt people's biggest gripe about "G-Force" (repetitive synth music), and is one of the main reasons why people either prefer "Battle of the Planets" over it or just straight-up hate it. Even myself, a big "G-Force: Guardians of Space" fan, can see why.
In case you didn't notice, the synth backbeat is basically the instrumental version to the "G-Force" Opening/Ending theme song..........looped over and over and over until the original, orchestrated Gatchaman music starts playing. And then it starts playing again JUST as that finishes! XD
I remember watching this in the late 70s or early 80s? When did this first come out? Definitely not 1986. My friends and I loved this cartoon. This and StarBlazers were our favorites!!!! I had almost forgotten about these. Thanks for posting!
i tells ya, me and my big brother where just watching a film called "interstellar 5555" and just thought how cool that animation was and would it ever compare to g-force for pure stylish cheeseyness and yes it does, used to love this as kid and still do.
wow i remembered this when i was a kid. now watchin it agin after 10 years seeing cheesy dialogue and stiff animation what i thought was then cool. yet i still like it. really old school stuff
unfotunalty the whole series of "g-force" doesnt seem to be available. I went on Amazon and I'm going to order the entire "Gathcaman" series (its the same thing) but you can buy the dvd "The best of G-Force" which has a few G-Force episodes

I also think it is HIGHLY unfair that Durke has to get to the piloting area manually by pulling himself along those rails...

watch Battle of the planets it doesnt have background music and if it does have in some epsiodes which it does its really low and not to noticable
Gatchman109 3 years ago
It actualy is noticable but not as anoying as this ones background music because Battle of the planets changes it depending on the situation

@jtrouveroy The reason it does not amaze you one bit is/was because you never saw this anime/cartoons? What a shame.
