  • Congratulations on your recital. So adorable!

  • I love to see these kids learning. Itis the next generation. Please visit my flute videos and tell me what you think.

  • The first song was a Japanese song wasn't it? And what kind of flute is it. I think im going to start playing the flute. But... im only 11...

  • Yes, the first song is a Japanese children's song called "Kagome Kagome". This piece is from Suzuki Flute Book 1. The flute is a Jupiter Model 313S, which has a curved mouth piece intended for smaller children. At 11, you probably do not need the curved piece and a regular flute with a straight mouth piece will be OK. If you are not sure, Jupiter has a model 515, which comes with both straight and curved pieces. Good luck.

  • i would of had trouble keeping up with my classmates if i started playing at age 11, u better start soon if your planning on playing in ur school.

  • Ya... But hardly any of my class mates even play anything other than the gutair. But I might need one when I'm in hight school. Still thinking of it though.

  • Well, i'm 13 and i've been playing flute for 6 years, and it's a lot of fun, so good luck.

  • You don't have to play before you go to school. I started playing the first day of 6th grade and I'm one of the top in my class. My band director (also a flute player) said that I'm one of the best in the band and I've only been playing for just under 3 years. I was better than some girls that had been playing for years. It all depends on what kind of comitment you up into it. I'm extremely comited. I've been in top band for two years because of it.
