@zombieumbrella: Thanks for your comment. Well, it wasn´t very common and for us just a coincidence. My friend was driving races for Renault, so once they knew that we were also producing songs, they asked us if we could create some kind of title melody. Originally, one guy (who left later) came with a song called "Racing Beat", but it was not really Eurodance. I tried to make a remix, but that did not cut it either so I wrote "Move It". We performed it at the "Essen Motorshow" for the 1st time.
Thanks a lot for the positive feedback on my track. Just wanted to note
that "Move It" was never officially released outside of Germany. This limited edition with Mike on vocals was produced to feature the Renault Top 10 racing car series (see cover ;-). The later release of Move It (which was the more "official" one) features Alfredo on vocals. We have uploaded all the available X-tension rehearsal tapes from 1998 to our SYNSONGS channel if you are interested. Cheers, Tom.
@synsongs Was that a common thing? I know Avex Media put out cds featuring Japanese Import Racing Car covers but with Italian based Euro-beat productions. I just wondered if you knew anything about if it was a marketing tactic to push sales of the cd or just what was popular at the time. I'm from the states but loved this era for the cars and music coming out of Europe & Japan at the time.
