From what I see and read of the iLugger, it appears to be durable or resistant somewhat to impact. Which leads me to ask the question how durable? Because the concern on how much damage it can take is a serious question that a buyer would want to know before he or she dishes out $200 for the product.
I am a professional photographer. Good bags to protect your excellent gear cost money. It's just the way it is. I think this bag is totally one of a kind. I'll buy it to protect my $1800 imac!
Rip off guys, I mean it costs $130, and thats if you have the latest base model =/.. I would've considered it if it was $30-50.. Even better is get a cardboard box, put on the cloth like covering included with your mac, and then wrap it in tons of bubble wrap..
It is best to carry the iMac right side up when placed in the iLugger bag. The bags are made with durable, water-resistant nylon construction and heavy foam padding. We cannot say that there is a comparable bag to the iLugger out there, but please let us know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps!
Hi, thanks for commenting. I will definitely pass along your concern, but one reason the cost of the bag is so high is the quality of materials used to make them. We use ballistic nylon to ensure that it's very difficult to damage the bag (and therefore your iMac). Thanks for watching!
Yeah, this bag is crazy expensive. I want to get one for my 20 inch iMac for my Church but there is no way we are dishing out $120 plus shipping to get a bag, that I could use the box for!
hi also it would cost $20-30 for a factory box so just keep the box. i think a high price insures people really need one before running out and getting one, throwing out a fine $20-30 box.
this is not a bad idea. the 24' iMac is a vastly greater value than the pro powerbooks, and this makes it something you can bring back and forth to work, which is especially crucial if you're a mac addict like me who contracts in various PC environments. it's not, obviously, for bringing to the cafe and working on your screenplay.
It really isn't a bad idea. The purpose of these cases isn't to make your iMac portable in a Notebook sense, it's purpose is for times when you have to lug your imac around, such as moving, going somewhere for an EXTENDED amount of time, etc, this is the ideal way to do it without having to use the original packaging box it came in. Pretty nifty, really. $100 isn't bad when you consider how many notebook bags cost more.
It is very refreshing to know that a company will use the simple tools available to show potential buyers how thier product can be used. It should be a growing trend if other companies would use their -BRAINS- like iLugger has done. In Sept. '07 14,000 views in 6mos. is not bad.

The concept goes for condoms. Would you rather risk your life with a cheap condom or pay more for better peace of mind.....

Quite outdated at this point, guys; need to film a new one with one of the new iMacs (21, 24, or 27).

this bags are way too expensive. plus they weight like 2.5kg (just the case) so i rather just use the box the imac came in!

Just wondering if the 24" iMac really can "go" as carry on luggage? The dimensions as well as the weight (14kg-ish with the bag) will it really work?

Two Questions:
Is it safe to have the iMac carried around upside-down?
Is there a cheeper bag you can get which is good quality?
